TILDA'S SHAKER CARD

Hi folks,

Here I have something I have been wanting to try for simply ages, probably some years to be

honest. My very first shaker card. The photo does not show the sequins very well, although one seems to have strayed to the top on the photo. Well actually I am quite chuffed with it.

I have used some of my favourite things here, the lovely Tilda stamp was a lovely belated Christmas pressie from a very good friend of mine (thanks honey - I love it!). And as you know I love doilies, cheesecooth, flowers, Memory Box and Cheery Lyn dies!

So we have Cheery Lyn and Memory Box die-cuts, flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and from my stash, tiny heart buttons, cheesecloth (of course! lol) ribbon, doily, gems, lace across the top and sparkle

HAVE A BEAUTIFUL DAY

Hi folks

What a strange day it has been here, one of those days when it has been two steps forward and one back all the while. Everything I touched went wrong, fortunately I rescued my creation each time but it was a real challenge! Tomorrow has to be better! lol

Surprise surprise we have Tilda again! I have coloured her with Copics and Promarkers. There are lots of layers using Nitwit papers (new to me) and both doily and cheesecloth together with a large flower under the image. There are a mixture of die-cuts and punches. The flourishes are Tim Holtz dies, the leaves are Cheery Lyn, the lacy strip placed horizontally is a Martha Stewart punch. I have ribbon and flower button at the top left. The lovely flower at the bottom right was a free gift from Magnolicious. This is my last one used now! Sob! I think the tag is a Magnolia die, I purchased this from EBay recently. Finshed off with lots of sparkle.

FOR MUM

Hi folks,

Tonight I am posting this card in haste - again! I always seem to be dashing these days. It is a card I have made for Mum for Mother's Day. Mum organises Sequence Dancing Social evening in the village where she lives and at Easter they have an Easter Bonnett Competition. They all parade around to the music of 'The Easter Parade' so this seemed so apt. I have used an

image from Gert at Digi Blessings which is available from Stitchy Bear Digital Stamps

and guess what it is called? 'The Easter Parade' Oh and her favourite colour is blue!

This is very mucy a card made from stash. I have made the frame from the Nestabilities dies and embossed it the leaves are made from a cheery Lyn die and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

CUTIE PATOOTIE SAYS HELLO

Hi everyone,

Tonight I am just quickly posting a card to share with you using an Elzybell stamp called 'cutie Patootie' I have been lucky enough for a very dear friend to colour this for me. Don't we all miss the Elzybell shop! I know I do!

This card was great for using up scraps, particular ribbon, bits of cheesecoth and papers. It is just five inches square.

I have used doiley, pearls, cheesecloth and ribbon from Ebay. Magnolia die-cut flourish, flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and I made the leaves using the Marth Stewart 'branch' punch

TILDA AND FLUFFLES

Back again with my second one today,

A different shape this time. I have this card on EBay, there is a link on my sidebar should anyone be interested.

I have used two images, Tilda of course which I have coloured with copics and promarkers and Fluffles which has been coloured by a very dear friend of mine. The panel is part embossed. I could not do without my cheesecloth of course! lol

In addition I have used a mixture of die-cuts and punches, the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the fancy pieces creating an edging at each side of the panel are actually butterfly die-cuts. (Marianne I think)

ANYTHING BUT A CARD

Hi folks

I have something totally different tonight to share. This is a hanging I entered into a competition last year. I did no good but kept a photo. This was taken with my old camera, I apoloise for the photos, as they are poor. The photos show the reverse side too, and the sentiment on the reverse is a stamp from Stamping Up.

From memory I think they were Trimcraft papers, and a mixture of die-cuts, I took a photo but forgot to make a note of what I used.

I had fun and games getting the shape right. Then I remembered I had read somewhere that the arms can be shaped by placing a circle on the edge of a rectangle and drawing and cutting! I wish I could remember where I saw it to give credit for it.

HERE COMES SPRING!

Hi folks,

Here Comes Spring! How apt is this, it has been lovely here today, I do love it when the sun shines, it really does lift the spirits.

So we have Magolia Tilda, coloured with Promarkers and Copics, a mixture of die-cuts and punches, cheesecloth, Tim Holtz on the edge die-cut, and flowers purchased locally. The leaves are made from a Cheery Lynn die, and I have added glitter and heart pearls. I have added layers of lace at the right edge too.

B is for butterflies!

I am back again with my second card tonight. After posting this one I am calling it a night.

Oh but what a lovely day it has been here. It was just like a summer's day at times!

Here I have used a LOTV stamp. She is coloured with copics and promarkers. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, and the lovely butterfly border is made using Tim Holtz On the Edge die. In addition I have added cheesecloth, pearls and charm all from Ebay. Th ribbon is from my stash and the leaves were made using the Martha Stewart 'branch' punch.

Tonight I have something a bit different to my normal style to show you. It is a card I made for my nephew's partner. They have a cat themselves. But first a huge welcome to my new followers and also a big thank you to everyone who leaves me such lovely comments. I read every one and do appreciate them, they really keep me going!

The stamp is from a collection called Purrfect Pets, I am not sure of the make but it could be Papermania????

The papers were from my stash, I coloured this with copics and added pearls and flower from my stash too. The fancy yarn on the tag is my recycled item.

A TOUCH OF ROMANCE

Well it looks a nice bright morning here, I do hope we will see sunshine today again like we did yesterday! It really lifts the spirits to see some sunshine. Do you agree?

TILDA GETS KRAFTY

Hi folks

I am doing quite well with posting this week for a change, lets hope I can keep it up.

This is a card I made with one or two Challenges in mind. Basically I set out to use Lilac, blue, Kraft, White and buttons and bows. I think I have ticked all those boxes here. The bow is not so easy to see but it is there on the right hand side above the flowers.

Tilda is coloured with copis, and you will see I have used a mixture of die-cuts, Magnolia, Memory Box, Cheery Lynn and flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.

BILDMALARNA IN WHITE AND PINK WITH A SKETCH

Today I have a card to share which I have made through inspiration for three Challenges, a loely Sketch for Sketch and Stash (the Papermania papers were from my stash - I sort of stumbled upon those! Clean forgot I had them!) Dies, well I have lots of those, Marianne, and Memory Box mainly and White and one other colour, which of course is pink. I love this Bildmalarna image, she was a real joy to colour with copics.

And of course the flowers were from Wild Orchid Crafts and Mulberry Crafts. In addition I have used lace, cheesecloth, charm and ribbon from my stash.

TILDA'S RECIPE

Hi folks

I am doing well this week, back with another one. This time I have been inspired by one or two challenges, firstly a lovely Sketch, the colours were inspired by a Challenge at CR & FN, I could not resist using these lovely colours, green, gray and Lavender. I know the green and lavender are clear enough and I hope that the grey in the background of the paper will be sufficient to meet thre requirements. In addition a recipe which includes 3 patterned papers, 2 or more different embellishments and one Magnolia Tilda image and I think I have ticked all the boxes here too.

TILDA COOKS FOR VALENTINE

Hi folks

Today I have a card I have made using Traditional Valentine Colours including the use of some lovely red flat back pearl hearts. Tilda in the Kitchen image is coloured with copics and promarkers, and as you will see I have added lace and die-cuts. The papers are Melissa Frances Kitcheny. The two large pearls I have coloured with copics to get the right shade. Do you see the die-cut heart peepling through too?

The leaves are made from a lovely Cheery Lynn die and I think everything else came from my stash.

CRAZY CHALLENGE - FAIRIES GDT

Morning everyone,

I am delighted to be sharing a card with you today which I made as Guest Designer for The Crazy Challenge

The theme is a lovely one to work to and is entitled 'Fairies'. I was lucky enough to use this lovely fairy image by Dtarts and she was a pleasure to colour.

I made this card for a friend's birthday and as her favourite colour is pink I was well within my comfort zone.

You will see I have used one of my lovely lacy doilies, cheesecloth, flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and leaves made using the Martha Stewart 'branch' punch. There is a die-cut tag peeping to the side, and I added lots of Stickles.

I'VE BEEN PUBLISHED!

Morning everyone,

Brrrr it still feels so cold here at the moment! It will be 1st February tomorrow and I always think once February is through then Spring is on its way. And there is not long to go either! I love the thought of Spring!

Well I am so excited and wanted to share my news with you. I had a small package arrive the end of last week with a stamp inside. I had not ordered anything so was mystified. And guess what, there was a With Compliment Slip inside too from a Publishing Company. I have had a card of mine published in a magazine! (Creative Cardmaking Issue 37 ) Well I immediately had to find somewhere that sold the magazine and purchase it to find out which card had been published. The link takes you to the shop I bought it from, they give a brilliant service and I use them such a lot. This appears to have stemmed from a competition I entered last year (did no good with it) but it has come from that. And you know what, I nearly did not send that card!

Want to see it? Well my photo is terrible but I never expected to be posting this and I think it was taken with my old camera too!

Actually it is a lovely magazine, and I was thrilled to bits to find a selection of lovely Nitwit papers inside as the freebie! I will definitely use those!

60TH BIRTHDAY

Hi everyone,

I have been looking out for this stamp for a while now, it is a Penny Black stamp called Toot The Flute, isn't it gorgeous! Well I saw one on EBay and put some bids in but I was outbid. So I went on a mega search and I could only find one place with it in stock in the UK and I snapped it up, and it cost me not very much more than if I had bought the used one on Ebay had I continued bidding. So when I received a second Chance Offer a week later on EBay I was not at all upset because I realised although I had got it full price it actually was quite a bargain! Sometimes there is such a thing as false economy! And at least I did not have to pay overseas shipping.

Anyhow, this card is for a friend of ours whose 60th birthday is tomorrow. I hope he likes it! He is very musical and they have two cats so I am on the right track.

I have used a mixture of papers from two packs, Prima Botanical and Marianne Songbook. In addition there is cheesecoth, ribbon from stash and Magnolia die-cut flourish. This was worked to a Sketch at Quixotic Paperie and it was just perfect for a male card.

TILDA WITH A SKETCH

Hi everyone,

Well it has not been a very nice day here today. In fact it was snowing on the high ground.

Tonight I have a card t share which i made following a lovely Sketch for the CLP Challenge and using my new Tilda stamp. I have coloured her with copics and promarkers. The papers are Tim Holtz Vintage Shabby chic. I love these papers!

I have added cheesecloth under the image and used a mixture of die-cuts and punches. the flowers were from Wild Orchid Crafts. (my favourite embellishments!) Tilda is highlighted with sparkle in the form of Stickles.

Hi everyone,

I hope you are enjoying your weekend, it is very cold here but at the least it is nice and bright.

I have a card to show you which I have made following a Sketch for the 'Come and Get it' challenge but I soon realised I was not going to get it made in time. I just love my new Tilda stamp which i have coloured with copics and promarkers. Using Marianne Creatable papers, and a mixture of die-cuts and flowers it is lavishly embellished and I have added lashings of stickles!

I have very lightly distressed the edges and added glitter.

Back again with my second card today. I have had a lovely crafty afternoon and am gradually getting the cards made up that are designed and in a queue!

This time I have a card using a Penny Black Stamp to share. Again I have coloured the image with copics and promarkers. The papers are Tilda's Santa's Stack and in addition I have used a mixture of die-cuts and punches. The fence is a Martha Sterwart punch, you will see the Cheery Lynn doiley die-cut peeping from under the Nestablities, and the stems are made from a Marianne Creatables die-cut flourish. The bows and hearts were from my stash. The final touch was the stickles to add the touch of glitter.

Hi everyone

This is my second attempt at this post and I am pushed for time now. Somehow I got the whole thing done and then lost the lot! So I will try again!

I will focus on the relevant now. Isn't this LOTV image die-cut lovely! I worked to a lovely sketch but seem to have covered a lot of it up, I got a bit carried away with the embellishments! I am here today with a card much more my style than Lil Ol Grumpy! lol Gosh that has caused so much fun but I honestly was way out of my comfort zone with it. This Gorjuss Girl stamp is much more my sort of thing! Again I have coloured her with Copics and Promarkers.

Yes I am still using the doileys, I just cannot put them down! It is a simple card using Tilda papers, roses from Wild Orchid Crafts and the leaves were made using the Martha Stewart 'branch' punch. The butterflies are made using another Martha Stewart punch and I have added pearls to the centres.

Firstly though i do want to thank you all for the lovely comments I am receiving and a huge welcome too to my new followers!

And it is one of my firm favourites! Peachy Tilda (Magnolia) she never fails to delight me! I have stamped her onto a Spellbinders Nestabilities die-cut and coloured her with copics and promarkers.

These yummy papers are called Midnight Fairytale by Papermania, they are so pretty and striking! I am so pleased I got these.

GDT FOR PAPER CREATIONS INK - LIL OL GRUMPY

Hi everyone,

I was delighted to be asked to be Guest Designer today over at the Paper Creations Ink Challenge but oh how you will laugh. Anyone knowing me will know I love making girly cards, frilly fancy etc is just up my street and how I love pink! Well imagine my face when I saw this image that I was to use for today's spot! Well, hey you be kind about this Lil Ol Grumpy image, he has feelings you know, lol and he does grow on you! ( I think! lol) To be honest he totally transforms once coloured. Well I can tell you he has certainly raised a smile in this house. When I saw the theme was Love and Romance, I just thought 'easy peasy - just my cup of tea but then when I saw Lil Ol Grumpy ( available here ) well I was way out of my comfort zone! But hey I like a challenge and I did say I wanted to try new things in the New Year (famous last words! lol). Anyhow now I am really quite pleased with the end result.

So, what have I used? Well basically everything came from my stash using a mixture of die-cuts, punchies, cheesecloth and of course I have coloured this little fella with Copics and Promarkers and added lashings of glitter. Because it is suitable for Valentines Day I thought it could take it. Strange how things turn out, I started off with the intention of making a grungey card, but things sort of changed along the way and this is the finished result. I just could not resist adding the sentiment 'Sending you a Smile'. How apt is this!

I wonder what you honestly think? I will be putting it on EBay but don't all rush at once! Haha! (link on my sidebar).

It is hubby's birthday today and we are just back from a lovely lunch out at a fabulous little Farm tearoom, a real favourite of ours!

This time I am using a new stamp, quite different to my norm, and this one is a Kanban stamp. Ins't she lovely! Very glam! I have again layered doilies, coloured he image with promarkers and Copics and used the Martha Stewart 'branch' punch for the leaves.

PURRFECT IN BLUE

Morning everyone

A very quick posting today as I have to be out early.

This is the first of a batch of cards I have been asked to make for little boys aged 4 to 5. The image is a new one from a pack of Personal Impression stamps and oh my they stamp up beautifully.

This is a totally new thing for me really, I have never coloured cats and was not sure how I would get on (I used copics and promarkers), and have rarely do this style of card and OMG no flowers!!!!! I am totally out of my comfort zone if I cannot clart the card up with lots of emellishments! The flourish is a Sizzix die-cut I think, I bought this one from EBay. I think the papers are Doodlebug. The music paper is from a Marianne Creatables pad.

AROUND WE GO

Back again with my third card today! I told you they would be like buses and all come at once!

Yes she is back again! 'Hey Kitty' designed by Elisabeth Bell for BnW. I cannot get enough of this stamp! I started off doing this card for the Challenge at Elphone House which is entitled Around We Go. So I have the circular lacy doily upon which are layered Nestabilities circles. Then I covered them up with the image which has been punched with one of the Martha Stewart punches. (silly me! lol!) but you can still see the circles peeping through at the edges. I added a mixture of flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, Marianne Creatables die-cut flourishes and Martha Stewart punchies for the leaves. Everything else came from my stash.

GDT AT BUNNY ZOE CRAFTS CHALLENGE - PHOTO INSPIRATION -

Morning everyone

I am thrilled and honoured to be joining the Design Team at Bunny Zoe Crafts as Guest Designer in their lovely challenge today. There is a fabulous photo inspiration theme, just perfect for those Mother's Day, Valentine and Spring Birthday/Wedding cards! What a joy this was to work to, it is so pretty. The stamp I have chosen is one I have wanted for simply ages, it is a Bildmalarna stamp called 'I picked some flowers' (available here)

There is a lovely selection of stamps at Bunny Zoe Crafts so do pop over and take a look. It is actually one of my favourite shops, there is lots of choice, and the service is so efficient and fast so you will guess how pleased I was to be chosen as GDT today!

So onto the card, the image I have coloured with Copics and Promarkers, the papers are Melissa Frances 5th Avenue (aren't they gorgeous! they were perfect for this photo inspiration!) the flowers were from Wild Orchid Crafts the leaves are made using the Martha Stewart 'branch' punch and I think everything else came from my stash.

I have loved every minute of making this card from start to finish, and using such lovely materials and I hope you enjoy looking and hopefully taking part in such a lovely challenge.

NEW THINGS + Comments Candy

Hi again

First of all, I have a little candy to give away, it is only a tiny little gift but something that I have received such a lot of comments on lately. These doilies are so hard to come by so I thought I would share a few! So here I have a pack of ten to give away. I will draw the winner in a few days time. In the meantime I would love you to be a follower, and you don't need to put it on your blog but it would be great if you would like to. All you need to do is comment to this post.

Well I wonder what New year Resolutions you have made this year? I vowed I would try some new things in the New Year, not really knowing just what but just to stretch my imagination and skills, new ideas, new layouts, (and OOooo new stamps of course! lol). I did think I should do more with digi stamps too, something a lot of you will know takes me out of my comfort zone as I do like to use the clear and rubber stamps. I got to thinking that there are a lot of advantages to digis, yes we know they are a lot easier on the pocket (which means we can have more! lol) they can be re-sized (definitely a bonus!) and there is no wait either for the postie arriving. Also, how many times do we need a certain type of image for a Challenge or for a card we have been asked to make and cannot warrant buying a rubber stamp? Well Digis are a real bonus here too.

So imagine my surprise when I was asked to join the Design Team at OSAAT ! So you see my New year's Resolution has been fulfilled already! I don't want it to stop there though! I really do want to try new things this year.

CHRISTMAS SPARKLE

Hi again

Well this is my last card before Christmas. I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a happy New Year and would also like to take this opportunity of thanking you all for following me and for your lovely comments. It has been a incredible learning curve since I formed my blog in the early part of the year but such a wonderful journey and I am so pleased I have made such good crafting friends along the way too.

This is a card I made for a friend of mine. At the moment this gorgeous Wee Stamp by Whimsy is her favourite stamp (or it was when I made the card! lol) You will see the cheesecloth peeping from under the image too. In addition we have Marianne Creatables papers, poinsettias from EBay, lots of Cuttlebug snowflake die-cuts, Martha Stewart punchies for the leaves and lashings of stickles.

There is a slight twist to this card as the central image is actually a little four inch card which opens. I tried to get a photo but without success as it would have meant bending the card.

Two days to go! It is getting exciting now!

A different coloured Christmas card from me today and you know what I really like it! I think I need to do more of these next year! I just love this Tilda image, I have coloured her with copics and promarkers and used Magnolia papers too. In addition there is a snowflake die-cut (Cuttlebug), poinsettias from EBay and Martha Stewart punched branches for the leaves. The fancy edging is also a Martha Stewart border punch. I took the centres out of the poinsettias and added a large flat back pearl in gold instead.

GDT FOR ONE STITCH AT A TIME - 'SQUARE'

Morning everyone,

I am delighted to be invited to be Guest Designer today at the OSAAT Challenge
where the theme is entitled 'square'.

WOW what a treat to be able to use this lovely Digi stamp called 'Snowman Wreath' manufactured by Hope Jacare Doodles, it was a joy to work with and can be purchased here

I have coloured the image with copics and promarkers and added stickles for the sparkle. In addition I have used Marianne creatables papers' The Cuttlebug Snowflakes die-cuts, cheesecloth and poinsettias were all from EBay.

I have of course got a square card, with a square topper placed central, this actually forms a small four inch card which opens to reveal an embossed circle. Not easy to explain so I will try and include some photos.

TILDA'S ITALIAN CHRISTMAS

Hi everyone,

Well I think I am making headway with the Christmas cards now and Sunday will see the last of my cards go onto Ebay before Christmas. Now I need to get moving with wrapping presents etc.

This card was inspired by several Challenges again, so here I have an Italian Christmas (red, white and green), Sparkle, snowflakes and Winter Wonderland all teamed into one.

WINTER WONDERLAND

Hi everyone,

Today I have a card to show you using this lovely Magnolia image which I have coloured with copics and promarkers. The papers are Magnolia, the Snowflakes are 2 Cuttlebug dies, and the Flourish is a Magnolia die. The poinsettias and pearls are from EBay and the leaves are made using the Martha Stewart Branch Punch.

Again this card will be going on EBay shortly.

SIMPLY ADORABLE - GRACE

Just one more from me today. This time we have a card using the lovely Sugar Nellie digi stamp - Simply Adorables 'Grace' I never tire of these images! I think this card would be suitable for almost any occasion, and certainly for someone special.

I have used a mixture of things from my stash for this card, I have not a clue what the papers are, the flourishes which I have used in abundance are Sizzix. I bought these from EBay. In addition I have used doily,Cheery Lynn doily die-cut (EBay) Nesatilities, Martha Stewart punch for the leaves and flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts. The lovely little heart buttons are from stash as is the ribbon.

Hi, I am back with my second posting today which is another Christmas card. So C is for Christmas, I am 'Seeing Red' with 'Lots of Sparkle' and jingling all the way. These are the themes which inspired me together with 'Tag Your it' of several Challenges.
