CHOCOLATE at LIVE AND LOVE CRAFTS

Hi everyone

I am here to share a card today which I made just because I felt like it.  It is such a long time since I have done this. I loved making this card too.  Well, who would not, when you think of the combination of Chocolate, Live and Live Crafts and Shabby Chic!  What more could a girl ask for!  And working with lovely materials, well that was just the icing on the cake.  Actually there is a little story to this one, and I will keep this very brief:

I had severe lack of mojo.  Inspiration was just zilch.  Then I saw the Challenge at LLC, and it suddenly came to me to get my lovely goodies out  from Live and Live Crafts and play.  I keep these together in two boxes (one for papers and one for embellishments).  Actually two bags as well!  Well, this is what got me going again.  I think old Mojo had gone on strike and was saying 'its time to use these lovely materials' Haha.  I must admit I am chuffed with this card and it really has inspired me no end to keep going.

So, onto the card:

The lovely topper is from Kraftyhands (frantage added)
Tim Holtz die-cut (Frantage added)
The papers, shabby ribbon, hearts, charm, Frantage and  flowers and pleated ribbon (just seen peeping through at the top left and right ) are all from Live and Love Crafts
Everything else is from my stash.

I would of course like to enter it into the Challenge HERE at Live and Love Crafts where the theme is entitled 'Chocolate'

Thanks for looking,

SWEET STAMPIN CHALLENGE - LOTS OF LAYERS

Hi everyone

I am delighted to be back with another Design Team card to share which I made for the Challenge at  Sweet Stamping   The  theme to this Challenge is entitled  'lots of layers' which you will guess put a nice smile on my face.

I suddenly remembered about the lovely 'Adorables' digis that I have.  I have not used those for simply ages and this girly one I just love.  So I got to work with my Copics and here we have it.  Well layers say to me 'Pearls and Lace', so I could not resist making a real girly card.  The papers are as lovely pack from Kraftyhands called 'Kew', I am absolutely gone on these papers.  It has been made very much from items I had in my stash and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
There is a a lovely sponsor:

Challenge Theme: Lots of Layers
Weekly: Heather Ellis/Marianne Design

Please do pop over and take a look at the very talented Design Team's work here.  It is a lovely Challenge, it would be great if you could join in.

FUSSY & FANCY CHALLENGE - PEARLS AND LACE

Hi everyone,

I am delighted to be back with a Design Team card to share which I made for the Challenge at  Fussy and Fancy    This week the Challenge is being hosted by our very talented Ivonne

We have a fabulous sponsor:  Marianne Design
There is a lovely inspiration photo too.

.https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhu-z8sYLgvY_RpMv95AG68_HwNLQTfggpS88rpXR1OgLtvaO6Mei1TW0Fkfj8mhJshDeRxcHuoPDwV08T3fP5L7S15yJPB3tYFANgbTaEn9oa7Bhi7M3RpB_nVLYRmLc1sSIbsvLC5YGCm/s1600/Drawers+of+Lace+9.jpg

Well I have been so inspired lately by Beth's  lovely Exploding Boxes so I opted to make one a little larger than I normally make.  Isn't it lovely that we can all inspire each other.  I used Anja and heart die-cuts from Marianne Design and the flowers are handmade using Cheery Lynn dies.  The gorgeous topper is from Kraftyhands although I did purchase this locally.

So, onto some photos:

In addition the Cheesecloth is available from Live and Love Crafts and I used items from my stash.  Usually I use lace purchased locally too.

I do hope you have time to pop over and take a look at the very talented Design Team's work on the Fussy and Fancy  blog.  It is a fabulous Challenge, it would be great if you could join in.

As always, thanks for looking, and have a great day!

Liebster Award

Liebster Award Nominations

Hi everyone!

Diana Petrillo, over at http://dpetrillo.blogspot.co.uk/2014/04/liebster-award-nominations.html, has very kindly nominated me for a Liebster Award. This award helps bring awareness to blogs with less than 300 followers through a chain-mail-like, Q&A scenario. Normally, like Diana  I am not a chain-mail kinda girl, but this is a friendly, pass-it-forward kind of gesture that encourages support for one another and relationship with other bloggers. I feel it would be very unfair to say no to that, especially when I have so many lovely followers.

Thank you so much for nominating me, Diana, I feel so honoured.

Rules for participating in the Liebster Award:

  • Thank your Liebster Blog Award presenter on your blog and answer the questions they presented;
  • Link back to the blogger who awarded you;
  • Copy & paste the pink Liebster Award logo to your blog;
  • Nominate 5 blogs to receive the award who have less than 300 followers. Create a new list of 11 questions for them; and
  • Inform them of their nomination.

Here are Diana's Questions for Me:

1. Favorite hobby?
Well, that is easy isn't it, it has to be Papercrafting of course.

2. Dream job?

I don't have a dream job

3. Do you have any pets and what are their names?
We have one adorable Springer Spaniel called Monty.

4. Favorite teacher and why?
I don't have one.  Sorry!

5. What was your most meaningful spiritual experience?
Not a clue!  I am not doing very well here am I!lol  Hey but I am trying!

6. Favorite food?
This is a better one.  Mmmm, I don't think I have a favourite though although i do like prawns!

7. What does your favorite outfit look like?
Favourite outfit?  Something smart but comfortable to wear and slimming -  probably a size smaller than I wear now!

8. What was your last home decor purchase?

This one is easy.  We have just decorated our bedroom, the last thing I purchased was a Shabby Chic Waste Bin.  It is the nearest I could come to a Shabby Chic bedroom

9. What is your best/favorite photography tip?
Probably thinking about trying a Light Tent.  That has helped me a lot.

10. How often do you vacuum?!
Having a Springer Spaniel, it is every day, sometimes more.

11. Favorite American city and why?
I have never been to USA so have no idea.

My five nominations for the Liebster Award

BETH (Contagious Crafts)
Catherine (le coin de Catherine)
Lisa  (One Happy Little Crafter)
Gail  (Lacey Lassie)

Would you drop by these lovely blogs and say hello? Maybe even follow them too.   Today's a good day to be kind and generous, dontcha think?

1. What aspect of your hobby do you enjoy the most?
