Hi everyone,

How's it all going?  I wonder if you are getting all the preparations in order for Chistmas?  Yesterday I  would have ansered this question with, 'Not a chance' as I was way behind, but today I seem to have got so much done and caught up a little.  I think I can now say 'I am gradually getting there'.

I worked to a lovely Sketch at 'The Sketchy Challenge ' for this card and stuck to non-traditional colours for a change.

FANCY A BIT OF VINTAGE?

Hi everyone,

What a busy week I am having, I just do not know where the time goes to. I know for certain it did not go so quickly when i was working!  There just does not seem to be enough hours in the day!

You may remember me saying I had been playing with my new goodies which i won recently.  Well this is the second card I made.  It looks so much better in real life, the photo just does not do it justice. I find easel cards so hard to photograph.   You will gather I am really pleased with the result.  It is not often we are chuffed with something we have made is it.

I just love this image from Magic Moonlight.  I first spotted this on Betty's Blog
and I knew right away I wanted to use it on a card.  And of course I used my favourite colour - PINK!  Anyhow, here it is:

Die-cuts:  Cheery Lyn Doily and Magnolia Tag
Flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts (painted with white paint and glitter added)
Papers:  Pion from Live and Love Crafts
Apart from a few things froim my stash everything else is from Live and Love Crafts

I worked to a fabulous Sketch :

ONE STITCH AT A TIME CHALLENGE #139 - 'Thanks'

Hi everyone

Here we are again with a DT post for One Stitch at a Time.  The theme this week is 'Thanks'.    I have used this lovely image by REECES SCRAP PIECES called 'An Inviting Hug', what a lovely name!  AND so quick easy to colour too!  It is ideal for making up some quick Christmas cards, although there was nothing quick about my creation today!

Sponsor:

This lovely image  is available from  Stitchy Bear Digital Stamps .

So, what weird and wonderful idea did I come up with?  I opted to make a Chocolate Bar wrapper.  This is something I have been wanting to try for ages now.  I can tell you now, in hindsight, you definitely need TWO bars of chocolate.  Well I just do not know what happened but the first one just seemed to vanish! lol  Anyhow, I took the sturdy wrapper from the bar, measured it and then cut my piece of card, scoring in the same way as Lindt had done making it just a little bit bigger so the bar of chocolate will slip into it easily.  I left it open at both ends too.  I went for the Christmas theme because I thought how many times we need that just little bit of something to say thank you to someone, and covered in this way it makes it look so much more special.

After sitting planning it out for ages with this and that, I was struggling, so eventually I just gave up and went for it BIG TIME - ermmmm I think I may have gone a little bit too over the top actually!  But hey I enjoyed doing it. AND  most of the items came from my stash!  I wonder what you think?

Doiley, pearls and charm  from EBay
Image coloured with Copics andStickles added
Papers:  Marianne Creatables
And just about everything else  from stash

Do pop over and take part in this lovely Challenge, full details can be found at One Stitch at a Time and there is lots of lovely DT inspiration too with a good variety of different styles of work.

Hi everyone,

Brrrr it is still a cold one today, the forecast apparently is for it get a little warmer in the week so I hope they are right.

Today I have a card I have made and only just got photographed using this lovely Tilda image.  I have coloured her with Copics and Promarkers and added lashings of Stickles.  I have had this idea in my head and been itching to try this layout, it is a sort of criss-cross type without the insert but using four triangles instead of two.  And I think it has worked!    It was a bit fiddley but I loved doing it.
