SWEET STAMPIN CHALLENGE - Take Flight (Birds, butterflies etc)

Hi everyone

I am delighted to be back with another Design Team card to share which I made for the Challenge at  Sweet Stamping   The  theme to this Challenge is entitled  'Take Flight'  so I am thinking birds, butterflies etc.  Well, the sky is the limit here, so I opted to make a step card using my lovely Cheery Lynn Step Card die.  After cutting the shape I ran it through my eBosser with an A4 Embossing Folder.  I love the effect and will definitely be making more of these.

KRAFTYHANDS MINI MAKES continued

Hi all

I am here tonight to share the remaining three mini makes which I made using the lovely materials from Kraftyhands

I absolutely loved making these, and once I got started I was completed hooked.  I just love using up scraps and making cards from bits of papers leftover etc.  Things that normally might not get used.  And I am quite taken with the little mini cards.  I was not sure if they would work but am really pleased with the results.  I hope this will inspire you to have a go too.

You will see that there is a mini 'Envelope' card, well I m just hooked on making envelopes also, and am trying to find lots of ways to use them on our cards.  The best tip I have, from my experiences of playing, is to make the envelope first and then cut the card to the size of the envelope, and not the other way around.  I found this much easier. The shapes just seemed to materialise along the way.

I still have a few more which I went on to make using the lovely toppers from Cardmaker's Delights.  I will share these, hopefully, sometime next week.

Today I have been plaing with Washi Tape!  Watch this space for my finding on Washi Tape.  I will share my thoughts when I get a moment.  After all, isn't that what our hobby is all about?  Sharing ideas?

KRAFTYHANDS

Morning all

Apologies for my recent absence whilst I have been quite poorly.  However it won't be long before I am bouncing back good and proper.

Meanwhile I am sharing with you one or two of the mini makes I have been working on using materials from Kraftyhands.  I must say I am so impressed with the quality of their papers and also their toppers and postcards, but in particular the papers.  The quality is 190gsm and the 6 inchpaper packs are only £4.99.  What brilliant value.  My favourites so far have to be 'Kew' and 'Fatale' with 'Emporium of Curiosities not far behind!  but hey there are lots more to try.  I have just had a pack of the 12 inch Retro Roses and oh MY they are GORGEOUS!  AND, you know how normally you lose the small print with 12 inch papers, well, with these the print is still small enough to be just simply to die for!  Nice one Kraftyhands!

So, onto the cards.  They are all mini makes in differing shapes, so quick and simple, very little layering and no stitching.  Heck, this was weird at first as I have got so used to stitching the edges.

FUSSY & FANCY CHALLENGE - It's All About Girls

Hi everyone,

I am delighted to be back with a Design Team card to share which I made for the Challenge at  Fussy and Fancy

WENDY  is hosting this Challenge, the  theme is entitled  'It's All  About Girls'. and we are sponsored by   Fresh Brewed Designs

All about the Girls?  What a lovely theme.  I sat thinking, 'What shall I make? Images, Girly ideas were going through my mind, eg fashion, clothes, shoes, frillies, fancies, oh dear the sky is the limit. Finally I narrowed it down and settled on trying a girly bag so this is where my inspiration led me.  I made amuch smaller version in the form of a matching gift card too. I carried the design tot he inside of the cards too.

I cannot take all the credit for this idea as I was also inspired by a lovely creation that Joann
made some time ago.  Thanks for the inspiration Joann.

CHRISTMAS CARDS ALL YEAR ROUND JULY

Hi everyone

Today sees the start of a new Challenge at CCAYR, which is entitled 'Non-Traditional Colours'.  I must admit I am a bit out of my comfort zone with non-Traditional colours.  I love the deep reds and deep greens for Christmas.  So I rummaged through my stash and found these pretty lilac papers and this is the result - one little four inch cards and co-ordinating tag.  The card is criss cross style front and has a detachable insert.  Have you ever made these little four inchers I wonder?  I love making these and they are so useful come Christmas.

Do pop over to the Challenge Blog at CCAYR,  and take a look at the talented Design Team's  lovely creations.  I do hope you can join in with this lovely Challenge.

Thank you so much for looking,
