CHRISTMAS CARDS ALL YEAR ROUND August Challenge - midway inspiration

Hi everyone

Today sees the half way mark for the Challenge at CCAYR, which is entitled 'Sparkle and Glitter,  My pile of simple little Christmas cards is gradually growing now.  I used two different embossing folders for this one.  I must admit I do like the effect of embossing on white.

SWEET STAMPIN' CHALLENGE - Photo Inspiration

Hi everyone

I am delighted to be back with another Design Team card to share which I made for the Challenge at  Sweet Stamping   The  theme to this Challenge is entitled  'Photo Inspiration' 

I thought you might like to know a little about this photo.  It was taken at Riva on Lake Garda, Italy 3 years ago when we were celebrating our Pearl Wedding Anniversary.  It stood outside the most beautiful Lavender goodies shop I have ever seen.  You will see that it is lavishly decorated with two pretty little pots at the foot.  There is even a bowl of lavender soaps suspended from the handlebars and can you see that Gift Bag?.  Inside the shop was the most beautiful selection of Lavender themed gifts to purchase, all gift wrapped in celophane and of course the scent of Lavender wafted through to us (wthout getting into your throat) when we walked through the door.  I was enchanted with it.

I found this so inspiring and here is what I came up with. I made a set comprising Lavender Bag, Greeting Card and Gift Bag.  I have used a lovely Digi image from Fresh Brewed Designs on the inside of the card, flowers from Live and Love Crafts and lots of lace and pearls.  Andit smells gorgeous!

FUSSY & FANCY CHALLENGE - BINGO

Hi everyone,

I am delighted to be back with a Design Team card to share which I made for the Challenge at  Fussy and Fancy     

Nathalie  is hosting this Challenge, the  theme is entitled  'BINGO'. and we are sponsored by   Fresh Brewed Designs

Bingo?  What a lovely theme. And what a lovely selection to choose from.  I just could not decide, so I went for full house!

I cannot take all the credit for this idea as I was also inspired by a lovely creation that Rebecca made some time ago.  Thanks for the inspiration Rebecca. You may remember me telling you about the lovely Envelope with tags that Rebecca makes, and also saying that I am completely hooked.  Well, here is another one I made in the form of a card.  There are a few photos:

You will see that the lovely image from Fresh Brewed Designs is discreetly shown on the bottom right of the insert inside the card and also at the foot on the reverse of each tag.

The papers, flowers Frantage and shabby ribbon are all from Live and Love Krafts
I used 'Steamy Romance' image from Fresh Brewed Designs

BINGO 

Pearls - Yes I used lots of pearls
Swirls -  This is beaded and can be seen at the top of the largest tag at the back.
Flowers - Plenty of those have been used.  They are also on the papers
Stitching  -  I machine stitched the edges
Lavender - Lavender coloured papers
Lace -  There is lace eding the envelope
Message - Can you see the little greeting tag?
Strass  -   Can you see the coloured gems on the middle two tags?
Frantage -  The Cheery Lynn Doiley die-cuts peeping out at the edges are Frantaged with Shabby White.

KRAFTYHANDS CHALLENGE - Sketch

Hi everyone,

I have a DT card to share today which I have made for the Challenge at Kraftyhands which thios time is a Sketch Challenge.  And what a lovely Sketch this is too!






I loved working to this Sketch, in fact I just love using these lovely papers which are such brilliant quality for the price along with the gorgeous co-ordinating toppers.

Today sees the start of the new Challenge at CCAYR for the month of August, which is entitled 'Sparkle and Glitter.  I opted to make another embossed card adding lots of sparkle to the embossing, embellishments and image.  I coloured this so cute image with Copics.
