KRAFTYHANDS - KEW AGAIN!

Hi everyone,

Thursday already, where has the week gone to!

I have another card photo to share using papers and topper from  Kraftyhands  again and the Noor an d Cheery Lynn dies.  As I said beforfe, I am in the midst of gathering together a selection of Celebration card.  I just loved this Postcard Topper from the 'Kew' pack, and I knew immediately I wanted to use it but my mind just went blank.  So, it has been sat looking at me for what seems ages now until some inspiration came my way.  It matches perfectly with the 'Kew' papers too.

The embellishments came from  Live and Love Crafts and my stash.

SHABBY TUSSIE MUSSIE Number 2

Morning all

And a very happy Wednesday to you.

This morning I have another Tussie Mussie to show you.  Well, my version of one anyway.  I somehow think you are going to get a bit bored with me showing you these soon as I do have a
good few more to show you  yet.  You will gather I loved making these.

This time I used papers from LOTV and the flowers are a mixture from Live and Love Crafts and good old Wilko!  All the different laces were purchased locally I think.

Thanks for looking today,

Hi everyone,

Here we are, the beginning of another week.

After sharing the photo of my Tussie Mussie yesterday I am back to sharing a photo of a card today.  I will be blogging some more Tussie Mussies later in the week though.  I think I got a bir carried away making these!

I have been playing with the lovely papers and toppers over at  Kraftyhands  and the Noor dies.  I am really enjoying making these floral type cards.  Flower images are something I have not
really done very much with before, but I just love these and cannot stop using them!

The Frantage and embellishments came from  Live and Love Crafts and my stash.

SOMETHING SHABBILY DIFFERENT - What do you think to my Tussie Mussie?

Morning all

Well, Sunday morning and we have a dull look outside today.  Where is that lovely sunshine we had yesterday?

I have something different to share today.  These are called Tussie Mussies.  I had never heard of these I must confess.  So, what is a Tussie Mussie?  Well I Googled it and found this link which is quite interesting:  Tussie Mussie  one thing I can tell you though is that I am completely hooked on making them!

You know how it is when you are browsing and something just jumps out at you.  Well, when I spotted these on Pinterest I was just so inspired!  I actually have a nice little pile of these made now so will share photos of the others towards the end of the week hopefully.  I went in search of a Tutorial and found a good selection to be had on the Internet.  They are great for using up stash too.   It really was just the basic shape I needed so I had a starting point.  The interesting thing is I saw that there are different ways to create the basic shape.  Some used a square of paper/card as a starting point.  Others used a very large circle cut in half.

For this one, I started with a 12 inch square of double sided patterned good quality paper (Pion).  I then drew around a large dinner plate to form my circle, cut it out and then cut it in half.  I have tried the other method too, so I will be showing you ones I made that way later.  I think this one has the edge for me as it produces a little wider top.

You will see that my cone does not come to a point.  One Tutorial I watched had what I thought was a really good idea, she did it this way, and started by securing the paper in shape with just a couple of staples.  These do not show as they are covered up and it made it much easier.

What do you think?

Well, here I used Pion papers, lots of things from my stash and a few embellishments from Live and Love Crafts.

Thanks for looking today, and a very Happy Sunday to you all.

SARAH KAY - Time for Tea

Hi everyone,

This time I have a card made using one of my favourite Sarah Kay images.  I just love Sarah Kay images!  I coloured up this one some time ago and dug it out to make a nice simple card.  Hey I think I pulled it off without adding lots of this and that this time too.  I love thel ayering and embellishing, but this time I just wanted something simple but effective.  This is about as simple as I get! Haha

The lace is from Ribbon Girl.  This was a lovely gift from a friend and I found another scrap in my stash.

The embellishments and cheesecloth came from  Live and Love Crafts and I delved into my stash for anything else.

MAGNOLIA TILDA - PEARLS! PEARLS! AND MORE PEARLS!

Hi everyone,

Yes, it is another Tilda Card!  This is an image I coloured up ages ago.   I took inspiration from a card a very talented lady made some time ago and cased it.  Amelia is a lovely lady and so talented.  This is her blog here

Of course it has ended up nothing like Amelia's card.  Once I got going it just seemed to go its own sweet way, as they do!  I seem to have gone a bit over the top with the pearls.

The dies are from Cheery Lynn
The lace is from Ribbon Girl.  This was a lovely gift from a friend and I think I have now used my last scrap. The embellishments and Frantage came from  Live and Love Crafts and I delved into my stash for anything else.

MAGNOLIA TILDA - LOVE

Hi everyone,

Well I wonder how long it is since I made a Tilda card?  A long time I can tell you.  I found this image, all coloured up, sitting waiting patiently in my stash.  It is an image a friend very kindly coloured up for me as a gift.  Well, I was working at the time on Dt cards which all had the same sort of theme - Love.  So, this is where the inspiration came from for this card.  And of course it is Valentines Day today so it is so appropriate.

Hehe, you will see I am back to the same style card that I have been enjoying lately too - well I just cannot help myself, I am loving making these.

The die is from Noor Designs UK. The embellishments and cheesecloth came from  Live and Love Crafts and I delved into my stash for anything else.

PION - PRECIOUS DAUGHTER

Hi everyone,

I have something a little different to share today.  It is still a card, but you will be poleased to see it is a different layout to my recent ones.

I loved playing with a sheet of 12 inch paper from Pion (Live and Love Crafts).  I just loved the image on the paper and made that the main image.  Then I took the floral part of the paper and made it into a bookmark which is slotted into a pocket within the card.

The die is of course from Noor Designs Uk again and the embellishments came from  Live and Love Crafts.   I delved into my stash for anything else.

KRAFTYHANDS - Tulip

Hi everyone,

Today I am sharing a card I made for an elderly lady, one of my Mum's friends.  I was asked to do a card with flowers on.  Well, Kraftyhands online shop    is just the place to be for floral card inspiration.  I chose papers from the 'Fatale' 6 inch pack (love this pack!) and a postcard topper from my favourite pack which has to be 'English Country Garden' postcard toppers, although there are several floral packs to choose from and they are all lovely.  I am almost out of the 'English Country Garden' ones and also the 'Kew' pack so that shows how I like those!

The embellishments came from  Live and Love Crafts and I delved into my stash for anything else.

KRAFTYHANDS - Man About Town

Hi everyone,

Apologies for my absence lately but I have not had idle hands.  I now have one or two more card photos to show you so I will be posting these on here over the next couple of weeks til they run out and until I have more made.

Brrrr it has been a cold January and start to February here on the North East Coast, but thankfully we now have it a little milder and have even seen some sunshine this weekend.  How lovely it is to see sunshine!  And I always think once we reach the end of February then Spring is around the corner.

Today I am sharing a card I made for a male.  Well, you know how I struggle with these but looking through the lovely pack of 6 inch papers and pack of postcard toppers from Kraftyhands online shop  I got some inspiration.   That was a good starting point as I never know just what to do for these male cards.  The dies are from Noor Designs UK and also Cheery Lynn.  The cheesecloth, shabby ribbon, stars, charm and rosette ribbon all came from Live and Love Crafts.  The Structure paste (Doobadoo) came from Noor Designs UK too.  Anything else came from my stash.  Oh, I inked the edges with Tim Holtz Distress ink too.

And that is it for today.  I am off into Town shortly then planning a couple of hours crafting again this afternoon.  Whatever you are doing today I hope you enjoy!
