LOVE IS IN THE AIR

Back again with my second card today,

This card is one I made over a year ago but have never posted it on my Blog until now.  Unfortunately the photo is not great, it was taken before I got my new camera. It makes me realise now how much I like the stitching on cards, this one looks quite bare without it, simply because I have now got into the habit of stitching my cards.

TILDA WITH LOVE

Morning everyone

Well it is a bad weather forecast for us today with heavy snow apparently, but the good news is that we are in for a thaw at the weekend.  I do like to see the snow but it makes mobility so dicey and dangerous.  We have quite a few snowmen around here at the moment and they are great to see.

Onto the card now.  I am using another lovely Tilda image which my friend has coloured for me.  I just love this image!  As you can see I have applied the four triangle design to the centre panel.  I really like this effect.

GUEST DESIGNER CONTEST MARCH 2013

Hi again

I have been tempted to enter the above Contest at Whimsy Stamps
but have kept dithering.   Anyhow it is decision time and I am submitting my entry (quite apprehensively because I really do not think I will be in with a chance) Time is of the essence now too, so I am entering this card which is one I made for Christmas.   My dilema was to decide which card to enter.  I have chosen this card simply because I just love the image.  It is created by Sylvia Zet   and you know how I love Sylvia's designs.  It is available in Digi from  Wee Stamps   and also in rubber from Whimsy

So, why would I like to be Guest Designer for Whimsy?  Well it would be a great honour to be chosen as part of a team of such very talented ladies who I am sure I can learn such a lot from  I love working with Whimsy images.  There is a lovely range of sentiments and dies also.  Well what more could a girl ask for!  It would be a real joy to promote the Artists' images which always excel and go that mile further to make each and every one special.

If I can pluck up the courage to hit publish I am entering the Contest here:

TILDA PLAYS BINGO

Hi everyone

I am here tonight with a quick posting to share a card using our lovely Tilda image.  She seems to have got neglected lately.  I have used a lovely image coloured by a very dear friend of mine.  The layout is quite simple as I wanted the papers and the image to take the lead, and I think it has worked.  Do you agree I wonder?  They are so pretty, I just love Prima papers!  I must admit I am 'Tickled Pink' with this card!

Doiley and pearls from Ebay
Flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and Live and Love Crafts

TIME FOR ANOTHER SKETCH

Hi again,

I am back with another card to share.  Please scroll down for my earlier posting.

This time it is a card which I made using another lovely Sketch for the lovely 'Sketchy Challenge'  I loved using this sketch and am thrilled with the finished result!

As I had used this lovely Clock image from 'Dragon's Lair' (  Found here) I made this card so it would suit all Seasons really.  I do think it would make a lovely Christmas card for those who do not live in UK and have hot climates.  I remember one lady telling me they do not see snow in Australia so she does not send cards with snowmen on.

Papers:  Pion Violet (from Live and Love Crafts)
Images:  Magic Moonlight and Dragon's Lair (Love that Clock image!)
Flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and Live and Love Crafts
Ribbon and rose trim  from Live and Love Crafts

I would like to enter this into the following Challenges:

'GIRLIE' with a Sketch

Brrrr it's cold here today!  And snow has been falling non stop too, although it has not been really laying.  I think there may well be more overnight though and we could wake to a very white lookout.

I have loads of cards to Blog, they are forming a queue.  I have actually only got them photographed, but I will not bombard you with them all at once.

Tonight I have a card to share which I made following a lovely sketch at 'Sketch Saturday'.  I looked out one of my favourite images, this one has been coloured by a very dear friend of mine.  And I chose my three favourite colours to enter the Challenge at Love to Create.  Three favourite?  Well where cardmaking is concerne it has to be Plum, Pink and Lilac.

I tried a shape I have not done  before and although I am pleased with it I think it would lay flatter if I had not applied the papers to the inside triangles.  A shame really, because it would not look so good inside without this.

Image:  Spring Bringer by Sylvia Zet .  (This one is using the Rubber Stamp)
Papers: Prima
Flowers from Ribbon Girl and Wild Orchid Crafts
Lace:  Christmas present
Large perls:  Christmas present

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
Sketch Saturday Challenge - Lovely Sketch
Stamping for the Weekend Challenge - Girlie
Bunny Zoe Challenge - Anything Goes
Love to Creats - 3 colours (Plum, Pink, Lilac)

Thank you for looking, and also thank you all for your lovely comments, these really do mean everything to me.

PAPERCRAFT ESSENTIALS MAGAZINE ISSUE 90

Hi everyone

I am here today to share my news with you.  I was both shocked and excited to receive an email from the Editor of the lovely Papercraft Essentials Magazine asking me to do a commission for them.   This was to be part of  a Pull out and Keep feature for Issue 90 which has now been published.  I am not allowed to Blog my cards for six months yet but can show you a copy of the magazine.

Well, I was overjoyed when I received my copy not just because my creations are published BUT one of my cards is featured on the front cover!  How proud am I!  AND in the back, where the following month's magazine is advertised one of my cards in next months issue (91) is shown too.

I have submitted 3 commissions so far, so should have more cards published in Issue 91 and 93.  AND I am loving it!

So, this is the magazine, and one of my cards is on the front.  It is available for sale in the shops now.

A huge thank you to all my followers for such lovely support and comments, and a very warm welcomer to my new followers too.

I am one happy bunny!

Hi everyone

Yes you read it right.  I have been asked to join the Design Team at Christmas Cards All Year Round,  and this is my first card.  What a brilliant idea to make some Christmas cards each month and have them ready for when the festive Season comes around again.

ONE STITCH AT A TIME CHALLENGE #145 - NEW

Hi everyone

Here we are again with a DT post for One Stitch at a Time.  The theme this week is 'NEW'.   This can be New.   This can be new baby/ new year, could be a year of birth/ life together or simply new stash.  My card is suitable for male or female, but actually is made for a special birthday (a big zero).  I do not think the recipient will thank me for putting the age on the front so I used a sentiment saying 'On Your special Day' instead.  So, my 'New' is for a new decade.

I was lucky to be able to use this lovely 'Lovey Dovey Silhouette' Digi created by Floppy Latte Designs and is available hereI am really enjoying working with these Silhouette digis, and jof course it means no colouring too!  This was a joy to work with.

Die-cuts: I am not sure which die-cut this is to be honest.
Pearls: freebie

Papers and everythng else from my stash.

A DIE FOR A SKETCH CHALLENGE #8 (DT)

Hi everyone,

I am delighted to be here today with my first Design Team card for 'A Die for a Sketch' Challenge.  This is a fabulous Challenge simply to follow a lovely Sketch (details of which can be found here
The only stipulations are to follow the Sketch and to use at least one die.  And there jis a full month in which to do it.  I always love working to Sketches so this is just ideal for me, and this one was a joy to work to.  All the different pieces around the edge of the Sketch are in position using a co-ordinating paper but due to the stitching they do not show up very well, and tend to blend in.

Sponsor:  Whimsy

Image: This lovely image has been coloured by a very dear friend of mine, but I am not sure what it is actually called.
Die-cuts:  Cheery Lyn corners
Pearls and cheesecloth from EBay
Ribbon from Live and Love Crafts
Papers:  Prima
Flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts
Stickles, seeds and carrot buttons  purchased locally
Machine Stitching
Everything else from stash
