Hi everyone,
This time I am sharing a card which I hope fits the theme of 'Autumn' linked to the Papermill Design Team Call which I would like to apply.
What does Autumn mean to me? Well Autumn leaves of course, but then I thought everyone would do that but the very fond memories I have of Autumn as a child are helping my Mum do the Flowers at the local Village Church for the Harvest Festival. As a little girl, we always used to have to attend the Harvest Festival Service and then all the produce and flowers were auctioned off in our local Village Hall. As children we always loved this as they geared it around the children as well. I could go on about this but will save you from that! Haha
I have made this card for a friend's birthday. She is a really keen Gardener and I know will just love it. I opted to make a top fold card in the shape of a chest of drawers (for the Potting Shed) (you may remember me doing one for a male a little while ago). This time I have included a surprise pocket at the reverse of the card where I have included second pocket which holds a Vintage Postcard in front of the pocket. I am popping some Sweet Pea seeds into the pocket. (Sell by date is way ahead - 2015! for these seeds) I know she loves Sweet Peas.
You know how I love Sarah Kay stamps, well when I saw these Sarah Kay toppers on EBay I just had to have them. I think I actually do prefer the stamps, but having added Frantage I think this just fits the theme so well. I wonder what you think?
The edges of the die-cuts are inked with Tim Holtz Antique Linen ink, and embossed with Frantage.
Materials used:
Cheery Lynn dies (including the flower)
DCWV papers
Frantage (Shabby White)
Tim Holtz Antique Linen
Pearls, lace and anything else from stash
I would like to enter this card into the DT Call at Papermill
If you are stil awake thanks for stopping by and looking, and also a huge thank you too for all the lovely comments I am receiving these days. These really do make my day!
