FLOWER POT CARD

Morning all,

Today I have another Flowerpot card to share.  This is similar to the one I shared yesterday, but of course that one was a Christmas one.

As I said yesterday, I loved using the embossing folders to create this card.  The shape I just created myself and added items from my stash.  Once I had my template made, and had made one successfully then it was plain sailing.   As you will see the top actually is detachable as it is slotted into the pocket.

CHRISTMAS FLOWERPOT CARD

Morning all,

Here I have something a little different to share.  I had a phase earlier in the year making one or two Flowerpot cards.  I had always wanted to have a go at these.  Well, all was going well untilI tried to get the card to stand.  Oh dear - collapse!  (the card not me! haha).  After much thinking, experimenting and grey hairs, I eventually came up with this idea.  I made it into a sort of Tent card.  (See the second photo)

I loved using the embossing folders to create this card.  The shape I just created myself and added items from my stash.  As you will see the top actually is detachable as it is slotted into the pocket.  I loved working out how to do this card, it was very much trial and error, but I am sure there will be tutorials to be had if I had searched on Google.  I just wanted to do it myself!

These gorgeous papers and the image are from Live and Love Crafts
Flowers and shabby ribbon are also from Live and Love Crafts

I do hope you have time to pop over and take a look at the very talented Design Team's work on the Fussy and Fancy  blog.  It is a fabulous Challenge, it would be great if you could join in.

ELISABETH BELL - Embossed card

Morning all,

Here we have a card I made using this gorgeous stamped image which has been coloured by a friend of mine.  The image is called 'Fairy Play' and was created by Elisabeth Bell.  Isn't it gorgeous!

I had fun playing with my Tim Holtz Die and also my embossing folders here creating a shaped card.

SARAH KAY MULTI-FOLD CARD

Morning all,

Here we have an easel card which I made using this gorgeous Sarah Kay stamp which I coloured with Copics.  This is teamed with Cheery Lynn dies.  I am not sure what this shape is called to be honest, it sort of formed its shape itself along the way, but it is probably a type of Multi-fold card maybe?  You will see I had fun making the flowers from Cheery Lynn dies too.

SARAH KAY EASEL CARD

Morning all,

Here we have an easel card which I made using a Sarah Kay Topper.  To be honest these I do not like anywhere near as much as the stamped images.  But once I had added the Frantage etc I was quite happy with it.

SOMETHING A BIT DIFFERENT

Morning all,

Here I have a card which is a little bit different to share which I made earlier in the year to take the Craft Fairs in the Summer gone.  Again it is very much a stash card.  I started by making an easel card using the Nellie Snellen heart die, and then I went from there, embossing, adding lace, glittering, and adding the punched butterflies.

TILDA'S CHRISTMAS

Morning all,

I still have one or two photos left to share in my saved photos folder, although I am just about through them now.  So the next few cards will be the stragglers from way back.  This card is one I made in November 2013 when I was going through a phase of making pocket cards.  It is a card made very much from my stash using the lovely Tilda stamped image and my embossing folders.

CHRISTMAS WITH NOOR DESIGNS UK and SYLVIA ZET

Morning all,

Grab a coffee!  I have a story to tell!

Have you all seen that Tracey from the lovely Blog called Crafteezee
has opened her own online Shop called Noor Designs UK ?
Well, at first I did not realise that Noor Designs actually are the same as Joy Crafts.  I have always loved using Joy Craft Dies and have one or two of their packs of papers too.  So you can imagine I did the Happy Dance when I saw that we had an online shop in UK specialising in these products.

I did not realise either what a lovely selection there is.  I am so excited!  They are a fraction of the price of some dies and papers on the market but the quality I just love, it really is good, and the few dies I have here all cut beautifully with no fuss at all.

Well, of course I placed an order right away (it would have been rude not to! lol) and could not wait to start playing!  So, over the next few days I will share photos of the the Christmas cards that I have made.  I have had such fun, and hey this could well be only the start!  I spotted the other day that Tracey now stocks the Dutch Doobadoo.
Well, I had not even heard of this, so I headed off to Google it and found one or two nice Video Tutorials.  I am itching to give this a try!   If you take a look at Tracey's Blog and scroll down you will see there is a gorgeous Window template.  Now I think there is something quite special about a 'Looking through the Window' card.  It is something I have always wanted to try, so I might just treat myself for Christmas to this!  Well, it is nice to have a Christmas treat ourselves isn't it?  But, in addition there are stencils (have you ever used stencils?  I haven't - not yet!), Structure paste, Card Art, MDF, Chicken wire, all to name but a few , and they are all techniques I have not tried.  Ooooo I really think we could stretch our skills here and learn all sorts over the coming weeks!

You will guess, I am really excited about all this!  Is my excitement rubbing off?  Is it contagious?  lol

Are you still with me? lol  Right, well onto the first card.  The makes to follow are all quite simple designs, as I am building my Christmas card stock up.  I usually make a couple (at least) alongside each other, so you will see different papers and images on similar layouts too.

I used Crafter's Companion Spray sparkle on this card and some others, but it does not seem to have picked up in the photo.  (Spray sparkle)

Do pop over and take a look at Tracey Blog and also her  Shop if you have time.  I must say I received brilliant service, my parcel arrived the following day, and I received lots of welcome advice too on how to use different products which I had not heard of.  There are also links to Facebook on these pages where candies are offered at time.

CHRISTMAS CARDS ALL YEAR ROUND CHALLENGE - midway inspiration

Hi everyone

Today sees the half way mark for the Challenge at CCAYR, which is entitled 'No Patterned Paper.  Well, I am not  in my comfort zone making CAS cards so I opted to go for embossing again.  I dug out my lovely Cheery Lynn Step Card die, cut the shape and then put it through my e-Bosser using an A4 Embossing Folder.  Loved the effect.  The snowflake and the top doiley die are both Tim Holtz, as are the trees.

PION WINTERTIME IN SWEDISH LAPLAND

Morning all

Here I have another card which I made last week.  I think this sees the end of my section of cards which I have made using the lovely materials from Live and Love Crafts
I am sure there will be more soon though.  I still have some of these lovely images left and Christmas is very much on my mind!

I chose to make an Easel card this time, using my Go Kreate dies.  The edges are inked with distress ink, and I had such fun with the Frantage.

Normally my favourite Christmas colour combo would be 'Traditional' colours but at the moment I am really taken with the combo below.  Love to see lots of sparkle and snowy white to a card whether it be Wintery of shabby and lacy.

The materials used are as follows:
Pion Wintertime in Swedish Lapland papers and REPRINT Vintage Santa image,  Shabby white ribbon, Frantage, cheesecloth, flowers, rosette ribbon, shabby stars and Stickles Stardust all from  Live and Love Crafts shop
Go Kreate and Cheery Lynn dies,
Distress Inks

The lace was purchased locally.  Anything else came from my stash.

MAJA - Its Christmas!

Morning all

Here we have a photo of a Tag card which I made recently.  These are ideal for using up scraps of stash papers.

I first cut a card blank with fold at the right.  Then I drew a template of theTag and cut around it, omitting the side with the fold of course.  Then I went ahead from there etc.

I just love these images.  There are several on a sheet, and each Vintage Father Christmas image is so tasteful.

The materials used are as follows:

Maja 'Its Christmas' papers, REPRINT Vintage Santa image,  Shabby white ribbon, cheesecloth, Red Rosette Ribbon, and Frantage all from  Live and Love Crafts shop

Cheery Lynn Tag and snowflake dies,

KRAFTYHANDS CHALLENGE - Christmas Cheer

Hi everyone,

I have a DT card to share today which I have made for the Challenge at Kraftyhands which is themed 'Christmas Cheer'.  Well, the sky is the limit with this theme, so after a lot of dithering and thinking what to do this is what I came up with.

We are looking at basically a gatefold card with the inside decorated too.  I have attached a further card with fold at the top to the cardblank before starting, so the inside lifts up to reveal a placed to sign underneath.

This is a bit photo heavy but it seemed the only way to try and illustrate what I have done.

BRITISH CRAFT NETWORK AND KRAFTYHANDS

Hi everyone

Just a quick heads up from me.  I have just realised that Kraftyhands will be showing the lovely Emporium of Curiosities Collection on the British Craft Network
at 7pm tonight and again tomorrow (Thursday) at midday.

I have no idea whether my cards will be shown this time, so I hope I don't miss it.  We are decorating at present and there are times when I can not get near the PC.

I hope your day is going well,

PION CAKES - BOOKMARK CARD

Morning all

Today I have another photo of a card to share which I made way back in March 2013 using the gorgeous Pion cakes images and Pion papers.  These, together with the flowers were from  Live and Love Crafts

I opted to make a shaped card this time and made the inside pocket a criss criss style panel in which is a bookmark which I made and slotted inside.  This has been like a trip down Memory Lane for me, coming across cards I made so far back.  I think tomorrow will bring us more up to date.

PION AT LIVE AND LIVE CRAFTS

IN MY ELEMENT AT LIVE AND LOVE CRAFTS

Morning all

Well, I am well on with posting the photos from my saved folder of cards I have made over the past year.  You probably will have gathered by now that I sorted the photos into categories.  So the next week or so will see me sharing ones I have made using predominently Live and Love Crafts products (apart from when I have a Design Team card to share in which case I will just continue it the following day.).

I think it makes sense to start with my older makes and then move on to the more up to date ones.  This has to be one of my favourite shops.  It really is like an Aladins cave of gorgeous papers and embellishments, and just my style too.  Every time yet my order has arrived the following day without fail.   How I wish we could grow a money tree eh!  I somehow think you are nodding and smiling here.  Wouldn't it be great!  But oh heck, where would I store it all! lol

Enough of my waffle.  So I will start with a simple card I made to add to the stock which I was taking to the Craft Fairs this Summer gone.  I probably made this card around a year ago.
I think it is more or less self explanatory but the papers and image I believe are Pion Almas Sewing Room.

This is the link to Live and Love Crafts shop

A huge thank you to you all for all your lovely comments.  I read each and every one and they mean somuch to me.  And also a very warm welcome to my new followers too.

As always, thanks for looking,

VINTAGE SHABBY

Morning all,
Here I have another recenly made card.  Another Easel card using the lovely dies from Go Kreate/Spellbinders, Tim Holtz and Cheery Lynn.

I started off making a tag with this lovely Vintage image.  Then I used the tag for the topper on the card, so you will probably nod your head in agreement when I say there was a lot of work in this one.  But you know what?  I loved doing it!

There is lots of sparkle which does not show on the photo.

There is a mixture of embellishments from Wild Orchid Crafts, shabby ribbon from Liveand Love Crafts and items from my stash.  The edges are inked using Tim Holtz distress ink pad and then glittered with Glitter Glue.

Thank you so much for looking.

Have a lovely day,

Judy x
