WEDDING CRISS CROSS

Hi all

I am sharing a photo of a criss cross type card I made for a friend's daughter's Wedding back in April 2013.  I was so pleased with how this card turned out.

The image is of course created by Sylvia Zet but in the form of a Hobby House Topper.  The flowers, ribbon and rosette ribbon are all from Live and Love Crafts.

A touch of Shabby

Hi all

I have come across another card which I made when I was creating stock for a Craft Fair.  This one is quite different in style for me but I loved making it.  Well, you know how I like trying different things.

It is pretty self explanatory really, and I used items mainly from my stash.

I really am virtually up to date now with the photos from my saved photos folder.  I just keep coming across the odd one like this.

VINTAGE WINTER

Hi all

I have a card here that I made back in September.  I have kept putting off posting it on my Blog as it is so difficult to explain just how it works and not too easy to photograph either.  So here goes!

Right, well firstly I used LOTV papers and the Vintage image is a freebie.  The die is a Tim Holtz die, and the doiley and pearls were from EBay.  The ribbon and Rosette ribbon are from Live and Love Crafts, and the lace  were purchased locally.

So, the card looks quite normal from front view.

And this is the view when stood.

The envelope was made using my Envelope punch board, again using LOTV paper.
The left side has a curved pocket and the right side has a fold at the top and lifts

Like this.  There is then another curved pocket which holds a small tag/bookmark???

And that is it!

VINTAGE BIRDS - card for a male Gardener

Hi all

As promised I am sharing a photo of the second card for a male which I made alongside the card which I posted on my Blog on Wednesday.  I carried the design to the inside in the same way as Wednesday's 'ONIONS' card but guess who omitted to photograph the inside?  Me!

This time the papers are  from  Noor Designs UK ('Fading Colours').   The die-cut is a Tim Holtz die. Again I adding cheesecloth.  It just seemed to lift it by adding cheesecloth.  The card candy was from my stash as was the wooden leaves.

The edges are inked with Tim Holtz Distress ink and I have added Frantage. Oh, the images were found on a freebie site, I am not sure which but it could have been Magic Moonlight. (????)

So, there we have it! So, that is my very brave attempt at a second attempt at making a card for a male with a Garden or Countryside theme.  Well it did make sense to do two this time as I know I need another one shortly for personal use.

CMD - ONIONS!

Hi all

You know what it is like when someone asks you to make a card for a male?  Well, my heart dropped, but I am always up for a Challenge, and I really did not like to say no this time, so off I went on my merry little way of struggle!  I was also asked for this to be based around the hobby of a Gardener.  Well, I looked through my images and stamps, and the only image that I could find that was anything like appropriate was a topper from Cardmaker's Delights with ONIONS as the feature. Blimey!  How does one make a card using an Onions topper! lol  Anyhow this is what I came up with.

The papers are a mixture from DCWV and  Noor Designs UK ('Spring').   The die-cuts are Tim Holtz and Cheery Lynn.  I could not resist adding the cheesecloth, and I found the little carrot buttons and the wooden leaves in my stash.

The edges are inked with Tim Holtz Distress ink and I have added Frantage.  That actually transformed it in my view.  Then I carried the design to the inside adding a pocket in which is slotted a Kraft Tag.

So, there we have it!  At the same time, I made another male card alongside this one.  I very rarely just make one card at a time!  I will post the second card on Friday for you to see.

LAVENDER scented Easel Card

Hi all

I have come across another card which I made in March last year which I have not blogged.

Actually I am working on a very tight deadline at the moment, so although it may go quiet on my Blog for a few days I will be back as soon as the pressure is off.

The gorgeous Vintage image is from Cardmaker's Delights.  And again you will see I dug into my stash for the embellishments.  Some of these were purchased locally.   I have included in this Easel Card a lovely little bar of Lavender Soap.  Oh WOW it makes the whole card smell divine!

The die-cuts are from Marianne designs and Tim Holtz.

CARDMAKERS DELIGHTS -VINTAGE PEARLS

Hi all

I had such fun making this card.  The gorgeous Vintage image is from Cardmaker's Delights.  And again you will see I dug into my stash for the embellishments.  Some of these were purchased locally.

In addition I have used my Tim Holtz dies and the papers are DCWV.   This is very much my style at the moment but it does not mean I will not be experimenting with different shaped cards.  You know what I am like, I like a bit of variety.  What is it they say about Variety being the spice of life, well for me it is the spice of crafting perhaps?

FUSSY & FANCY FRIDAY CHALLENGE - Swirls and Pearls

Hi everyone,

I am delighted to be back with a Design Team card to share which I made for the Challenge at  Fussy and Fancy

Norma  is hosting this Challenge, the  theme is entitled  'Swirls and Pearls' and we are sponsored by Aurora Wings

So, I really did not know where to start with this one.  Such a fabulous theme!  And just look at this gorgeous image!  In additional I hooked out the lovely Noor Designs 'Fading Colours' papers andpostcard stamp.  Along with the embellishments from Live and Love Crafts.  Well, I was in seventh Heaven!  This is what I came up with:

I would like to enter this card into the Challenge at Aurora Wings
where the theme is 'Glitter'  There is lots of gold Stickles on my card but it does not show well on the photo.  Each of the flower centres on the image are Glittered, as is the edge of the die-cut peeping through at the top and the edges of the postcard topper.

I do hope you have time to pop over and take a look at the very talented Design Team's work on the Fussy and Fancy  blog.  It is a fabulous Challenge, it would be great if you could join in.

As always, thanks for looking, and have a great day!

KRAFTYHANDS CHALLENGE - Winter Blues

Hi everyone,

I have a DT card to share today which I have made for the Challenge at Kraftyhands which is themed 'Winter Blues'.  Isn't that a fabulous theme?!

Well, I thought of the lovely Hyacinth in the 'English Country Garden' pack of postcard toppers from Kraftyhands right way, and the papers from the Fatale 6 inch pack were a perfect match.

Set upon a white embossed background (I love the effect of a white embossed background) and the addition of the Noor and Cheery Lynn dies creates my version of 'Winter Blues.

The photo does not show clearly, but I have inked the edges of the die-cuts and added lots of sparkle.  The lace and pearls are from my stash and the flowers are a mixture from Wild Orchid Crafts and Live and Love Crafts.  I used Dutch Doobadoo structure paste and fine glitter  to create an icy effect around the edge of the embossed background.  I am loving this paste!

I do hope you have time to pop over and take a look at the very talented Design Team's work on the Kraftyhands  blog.  It is a fabulous Challenge, it would be great if you could join in.

As always, thanks for looking, and have a great day!

Recap - 2014 Favourites

Morning all,

Today sees the final cards I selected to recap on my favourites from 2014.  These are cards I made for the Fussy & Fancy Design Team.

Looking at these quite inspires me to try make some more cards this shape you know.  You know how I love trying different things, well I am thinking I need to think up a twist to them maybe too.  I am in dire need of some inspiration at the moment so that I can get back into the swing of making after Christmas.

Well, I wonder what I will be posting on my Blog this time next year?  It was strange looking back a year, going through the cards I had made.  It was like a trip down Memory Lane somehow.

Thanks for stopping by and looking today,

Continuation to 2014 RECAP with favourites

Morning all,

Continuing to recap on my favourites from last year, again these cards were made for the Fussy and Fancy Design Team.  I loved making these, and I was especially pleased with the Gatefold Card using the lovely Sarah Kay image.  The photo does not show but there is lots of Frantage on this one.   Mmmmm  me thinks I might have to make another one that style soon!

One more day of the Fussy & Fancy Friday Challenge Design Team cards which will be tomorrow.  I must confess I just love this Challenge Blog, and I feel so blessed to be part of the Design Team.

RECAP OF FAVOURITES FROM 2014

Morning all

Well, here we are into 2015 now and the start to another year.  I am pretty much up to date now with posting the cards I had saved in my folder so it might go a bit quiet at times now on here whilst I am building up another stock of cards for the Craft Fairs this coming Summer.  I still have my Design Team work of course which will be coming your way as normal, and I will try and Blog the cards as I make them now too.

So today I thought I would just have a recap with some of my favourite makes from last year.  There were Design Team cards I made for Fussy & Fancy DT.  I am sharing and recapping over the next few days rather than bore you with all of them in one go.

I will be back tomorrow with the rest of my favourites.

As always, thanks for looking,
