DUTCH DOOBADOO SKETCH - 2 cards

Back again,

Yes, this is the third posting today in a row.  Scroll down to see the previous posts if you wish to.

This time I have a card I made for three Challenges.  I have been chipping away at these over the past week doing just a little at a time due to the problem with my painful ribs.

Blogger is being a real pain today for me.  I am having such problems uploading photos to my Blog.

So -  I have used a smashing Sketch from the Dutch Doobadoo Challenge.  I purchased this lovely Star template simply months ago from Noor Designs Uk and have now put it to good use.  What a joy it is to work with!  I will be making more of these cards for sure now.

I opted to make two different typoes of cards using these templates.  One is the star shaped card.  The second one is a square card with a section of the front trimmed adding the star to overlap at the front.  I could not make up my mind which to enter into the Challenges, so I am including them both.

The images and papers together with some of the embellishments are all from Live and Love Crafts and anything else came from my stash.

I would like to enter these cards into the following Challenges:

Dutch Doobadoo SketchChallenge

Noor Designs Uk Shaped Cards Challenge

Bunny Zoe Challenge - Shaped Cards

Again, can I re-iterate, thank you so much for looking and thank you too for all your lovely comments.  I am hoping to be back to commenting soon.

FUSSY & FANCY FRIDAY CHALLENGE - Fancy Folds

Hi everyone,

I am delighted to be back with a Design Team card to share which I made for the Challenge at  Fussy and Fancy

Norma is hosting this Challenge, the  theme is entitled 'Fancy folds ' and we are sponsored by  Sweet Lilac Flowers and Marianne Designs

I fancied doing something a bit different, but still ended up with an Easel card.  If in doubt I tendto turn to Easel Cards.  But I did make this one a littlel different in shape by starting off with a narrow easel but quite tall and then adding the lovely die-cuts (Joy die from Noor Designs UK of course!)  Actually I am quite pleased with the finished result.

The Joy papers are from Noor Designs UK also

Marianne Creatables dies (Borders)
The image is a Hobby House Topper designed by Sylvia Zet.
Embellishments are  from Live and Love Crafts
Anything else from my stash

I do hope you have time to pop over and take a look at the very talented Design Team's work on the Fussy and Fancy  blog.  It is a fabulous Challenge, it would be great if you could join in.

As always, thanks for looking, and have a great day!

NOOR DESIGNS UK APRIL CHALLENGE - Anything Goes

Hi all

Happy Easter to you all!  I hope you are having a smashing time.

I am just bobbin through with a card I made using the lovely teapot template from Dutch Doobadoo.  This was purchased from Tracy at Noor Designs U K

These are the links to two of the shops I use:
Unfortunately I cannot remember the name of the stamped image used for the focal point.  This lovely circle topper was stamped and coloured by a friend of mine some time ago.  It is so precious, I have been waiting for the right moment to use it.  I think it goes perfect with this shape.

It goes without saying that I just love the Dutch Doobadoo range andas I have said before the templates are brilliant and easy to use.

Most of the embellishments are from Live and Love Crafts.

I would like to enter this into the 'Anything Goes Challenge at  Noor Designs UK

ELISABETH BELL HOBBY HOUSE TOPPER

Hi all

Today I have a card to share which I made using this gorgeous image created by Elisabeth Bell in the form of a Hobby House Topper.  I love these toppers, they really do cut out some time by not having to colour the image.  This lovely image makes me think of Easter,  Could she be carrying her Easter basket?  I think so!

For the shape I started off with a Go Kreate die and you will see I have used a mixture of Cheery Lynn dies too.  The papers are from LOTV and the lovely embellishments are from Live and Love Crafts. Everything else, including the lace came from either my stash or it weas purchased locally.  Although the photograph has not picked it up the flower have a slight sparkle, using Stickles glitter glue.

I tried something a bit different here and made two lace bows.  I quite like the effect too.

I would like to enter this card into the following Challenges:

VINTAGE WINTER

Hi all

I have a card here that I made back in September.  I have kept putting off posting it on my Blog as it is so difficult to explain just how it works and not too easy to photograph either.  So here goes!

Right, well firstly I used LOTV papers and the Vintage image is a freebie.  The die is a Tim Holtz die, and the doiley and pearls were from EBay.  The ribbon and Rosette ribbon are from Live and Love Crafts, and the lace  were purchased locally.

So, the card looks quite normal from front view.

And this is the view when stood.

The envelope was made using my Envelope punch board, again using LOTV paper.
The left side has a curved pocket and the right side has a fold at the top and lifts

Like this.  There is then another curved pocket which holds a small tag/bookmark???

And that is it!

LAVENDER scented Easel Card

Hi all

I have come across another card which I made in March last year which I have not blogged.

Actually I am working on a very tight deadline at the moment, so although it may go quiet on my Blog for a few days I will be back as soon as the pressure is off.

The gorgeous Vintage image is from Cardmaker's Delights.  And again you will see I dug into my stash for the embellishments.  Some of these were purchased locally.   I have included in this Easel Card a lovely little bar of Lavender Soap.  Oh WOW it makes the whole card smell divine!

The die-cuts are from Marianne designs and Tim Holtz.

I am delighted to be back with a Design Team card to share which I made for the Challenge at  Fussy and Fancy

Norma  is hosting this Challenge, the  theme is entitled  'Swirls and Pearls' and we are sponsored by Aurora Wings

So, I really did not know where to start with this one.  Such a fabulous theme!  And just look at this gorgeous image!  In additional I hooked out the lovely Noor Designs 'Fading Colours' papers andpostcard stamp.  Along with the embellishments from Live and Love Crafts.  Well, I was in seventh Heaven!  This is what I came up with:

I would like to enter this card into the Challenge at Aurora Wings
where the theme is 'Glitter'  There is lots of gold Stickles on my card but it does not show well on the photo.  Each of the flower centres on the image are Glittered, as is the edge of the die-cut peeping through at the top and the edges of the postcard topper.

NEW YEAR'S EVE - Cardmaker's Delights

Morning all,

Where has this year gone to!   It seems hard to believe it is New year's Eve already.  I hope you all have a fabulous time seeing the New Year in.

Here I have another quick post with a card I made some time ago using this gorgeous image from  Cardmaker's Delights  I was chuffed to bits with this card and I have it for sale on Facebook.
And no flowers!  Well, this must be a first for me, or one of very few I have made without flowers.  But you know what, I felt it had worked.

It is very much a card made from my stash, including Cheery Lynn and Tim Holtz dies.

I have a DT card to share today which I have made for the Challenge at Kraftyhands which is themed 'No Squares Allowed'.   Well this is just up my street, you know how I love making different shaped cards.

FLOWER POT CARD

Morning all,

Today I have another Flowerpot card to share.  This is similar to the one I shared yesterday, but of course that one was a Christmas one.

As I said yesterday, I loved using the embossing folders to create this card.  The shape I just created myself and added items from my stash.  Once I had my template made, and had made one successfully then it was plain sailing.   As you will see the top actually is detachable as it is slotted into the pocket.

CHRISTMAS FLOWERPOT CARD

Morning all,

Here I have something a little different to share.  I had a phase earlier in the year making one or two Flowerpot cards.  I had always wanted to have a go at these.  Well, all was going well untilI tried to get the card to stand.  Oh dear - collapse!  (the card not me! haha).  After much thinking, experimenting and grey hairs, I eventually came up with this idea.  I made it into a sort of Tent card.  (See the second photo)

I loved using the embossing folders to create this card.  The shape I just created myself and added items from my stash.  As you will see the top actually is detachable as it is slotted into the pocket.  I loved working out how to do this card, it was very much trial and error, but I am sure there will be tutorials to be had if I had searched on Google.  I just wanted to do it myself!

ELISABETH BELL - Embossed card

Morning all,

Here we have a card I made using this gorgeous stamped image which has been coloured by a friend of mine.  The image is called 'Fairy Play' and was created by Elisabeth Bell.  Isn't it gorgeous!

I had fun playing with my Tim Holtz Die and also my embossing folders here creating a shaped card.

SARAH KAY MULTI-FOLD CARD

Morning all,

Here we have an easel card which I made using this gorgeous Sarah Kay stamp which I coloured with Copics.  This is teamed with Cheery Lynn dies.  I am not sure what this shape is called to be honest, it sort of formed its shape itself along the way, but it is probably a type of Multi-fold card maybe?  You will see I had fun making the flowers from Cheery Lynn dies too.

SARAH KAY EASEL CARD

Morning all,

Here we have an easel card which I made using a Sarah Kay Topper.  To be honest these I do not like anywhere near as much as the stamped images.  But once I had added the Frantage etc I was quite happy with it.

SOMETHING A BIT DIFFERENT

Morning all,

Here I have a card which is a little bit different to share which I made earlier in the year to take the Craft Fairs in the Summer gone.  Again it is very much a stash card.  I started by making an easel card using the Nellie Snellen heart die, and then I went from there, embossing, adding lace, glittering, and adding the punched butterflies.
