Today sees the start of another Challenge at http://fussyandfancychallenge.blogspot.co.uk/
The Challenge is being hosted by Norma. The chosen theme is 'A Summer Fling'.
'Summer Fling'. Well I pictured the recipient of this card sitting with a book in the garden taking in the sunshine. Well a girl can dream! lol So my card has been inspired from this using lovely Summery colours, to a floral theme and including a detachable bookmark.

Yes. this is another card using one of the little rag dress toppers I made a little while ago. I loved making these. For anyone who does not know this, I searched for video tutorials and then tried my hand at making one. I was hooked! And yes I had done one in blue!

Back to my normal style this month.
Here I used a Spellbinders window die which I beaded. There is a Vintage image behind the Window and lace to give the impression of curtains.

Here is the card I made. Instead of using papers I used embossed card and patterned paper for the insertion panel.
This is a very different style for me. It took a little planning, but I am actually pleased with the result. It looks so much different and better in real life.
The card measures roughly 6 inches high by 5.5 inches wide. I measured 1.5 and 3 cm from the top left side edge and 7.5 cm up from the bottom right side edge. I then cut diagonally from the 3 cm mark to the bottom right hand corner. And then again from the 1.5 cm mark to the 7.5 cm mark. That gave me three panels. The bottom and top panels are secured with foam pads. I had seen this done online somewhere, I am not sure where, but once I worked out the measurements it was quite straight forward. In fact I got quite hooked on making these!
