VINTAGEY CHRISTMAS

Hi everyone,

Well, I have been making Christmas cards over the Summer.  I have booked to go to two Christmas Craft Fairs in October and November so have had such fun making.

This card was made using the lovely papers from Live and Love Crafts and again I have used the lovely lace from Jules house of Ribbons

The flowers are a mixture from Wild Orchid Crafts and Ebay
The Vintage image was a freebie
The snowflakes peeping through are a Joy die from Noor Designs Uk
And everything else came from my stash.

Thanks for looking and here's to a lovely day,

APOLOGIES and a bit of information and a Vintagey card using Jules House of Ribbons laces

Hi everyone,

Firstly, my apologies for being so quiet recently.  In addition to family matters (not bad ones) I somehow managed to sprain some ribs and the medication disagreed with me making me so very poorly.  I hope to be backin full swing very shortly.

I have not had idle hands, (well until I got ill) so have lots of photos to share eventually, many of which are Christmas cards.   Yeah Christmas!  Hey, and I have loved making them too!

I was inspired by this card simply because I did not know what to make and I was sat looking at my lovely laces and embellishments from  http://jules777cards.blogspot.co.uk/p/blog-page.html
and it just went from there.  I can tell you I just love these laces.  OMG! I keep thinking do I want to use them?  then I smackhands and tell myself I NEED to because then I have an excuse to pop over and browse for more!  The photos on Jules Blog really do not do them justice, the ones I have here are such brilliant quality and at such a reasonable price with brilliant cost of postage. Don't you think crafting is so much more pleasurable when using really good quality stuff?  And I find you only get out what you put in.  Using cheap materials seems to give a cheap result for me.  Get the picture? lol  You will guess I am hooked!

So, yes here we have a Christmas card using a lovely freebie image from Janet K.

The edges are inked.
Flowers were from Wild Orchid Crafts and EBay
I think the papers are Joy from Noor Designs Uk.

And finally I have something to share with you.   I bought a lovely Hole punch the other week.  Previous to buying this my punches would just not go through card.  This one does!  Not only doesit go through it, it goes through more than one sheet at once, and believe me it goes through like butter!  I wish I had found this earlier!

The description is Rapesco Sole Single Hole Punch, 23 capacity Black. Itg should be £14.65 and I got it for £6.21 from Amazon.  The best money I ever spent)

Well, I have been here long enough now, I cannot stay online very long, sat at my pc before my ribs tell me to log off but things will get better I am sure.  Onwards and upwards for me now!

FUSSY & FANCY FRIDAY CHALLENGE - Things with Wings

Hi everyone,

I am delighted to be back with a Design Team card to share which I made for the Challenge at  Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge

Sharon is hosting this Challenge, the  theme is entitled 'Things with Wings' and we are sponsored by http://freshbreweddesigns.com/   and http://www.sweetlilac.co.uk/

I had such fun making this pair.  A greeting card and gift bag to match.  The Gift bag is from Hobbycraft which I altered.

Things with wings?  Well butterflies immediately sprang to mind, then I dithered and was toying with butterflies or fairies.  Butterflies won the day.

The dies are from Noor Designs UK, Tim Holtz  and Cheery Lynn
The papers are Heartfelt Designs

The lovely lace, pearl trim and floral embellishment are from http://jules777cards.blogspot.co.uk/p/blog-page.html
The butterfly is a punch.
Anything else from my stash

I do hope you have time to pop over and take a look at the very talented Design Team's work on the Fussy and Fancy  blog.  It is a fabulous Challenge, it would be great if you could join in.

As always, thanks for looking, and have a great day!

FUSSY & FANCY FRIDAY CHALLENGE - Distressed

Hi everyone,

I am delighted to be back with a Design Team card to share which I made for the Challenge at  Fussy and Fancy   I made this one just for fun so I could play along as it is not my turn this week.

Mary Lou is hosting this Challenge, the  theme is entitled 'Distressed ' and we are sponsored by Aurora Wings

I have tried to achieve the more vibrant look here. Mmmmm I must confess it looks so much better in real life than on the photo.

I reached for my embossing folders here.  I often do this if I can not decide which papers to use, and I love the embossed effect.

The dies are from Noor Designs UK

FUSSY & FANCY FRIDAY CHALLENGE - Photo Inspiration - Lavender and Yellow

Hi everyone,

I am delighted to be back with a Design Team card to share which I made for the Challenge at  Fussy and Fancy  Actually, it is not my turn to post this time but when I saw the lovely Inspiration photo I could not resist playing along.
Isn't this photo just gorgeous that Diane has chosen!

Diane is hosting this Challenge, and we are sponsored by Fresh Brewed Designs
and Sweet Lilac Flowers I was lucky enough to be able to use this lovely image for my creation!   I think this is such a versatile image and especially suited to celebration cards.

I opted to make another gift bag, altering one which was in a pack from either The Range at York or Hobbycraft.
Have you seen this beautiful lace?!  OMG!  I was sent the most beautiful little parcel of the finest quality lace by Jules (Jules Ribbons and Cards) to try.  Well, as a lot of you will know, I usually get my lace locally and I was expecting to receive much the same as I can get in Town.  WAS I WRONG!!!!  This lady's shop is definitely worth a look and the photos just do not do it justice at all.  I love using Guipure lace and there are some beautiful designs (which I must admit I had not seen before) at such reasonable prices to be found here
In addition there is a lovely selection of rosette ribbon, seam binding (this is what I used for my two bows) and also flat back pearls on roll.  I am well impressed!
Thank you Jules!
