PION OR MAJA

Hi everyone,

Well, I clean forget which papers I used here.  I made this card some time ago, and I know I had fun using up things from my stash of Pion and Maja papers etc.  It was very much a card made from stash because the flowers are some I had in my box for ages and they just seemed to be the right colour to co-ordinate.

Thanks for stopping by.

PION CHRISTMAS

Hi everyone

I have absolutely no mojo at the moment so I have decided to have a week of posting a few saved photos of the cards I made recently.  Maybe something will spark me off into making again during the next week or so if I have a week of blogging!  I aim to schedule some posts now for the coming two weeks.

So, here we go with my first one for today where I used Pion materials, die-cuts and a mixture of lovely embellishments a lot of which were purchased from Noor Design UK.  The pom pom trim I think I purchased from Ribbon Girl and anything else came from my stash.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

613 Avenue Create - Anything Goes
A Perfect Time to Craft

Thank you so much for stopping by and also for all your lovely comments I am receiving.  I do so appreciate them!

PION GIFT BAG

Hi everyone,

I hope your weekend is going well.

As promised I have a Gift Bag to share today which I made to co-ordinate with the card I posted on Wednesday 24 May.  I had such fun making these, I love making items to co-ordinate, if not actually matching.  The PION papers are such a joy to work with, as are items purchased from Noor Design UK.  There could well be items added from my stash too.

I made this a sort of criss cross style.  I absolutely love making this shape of card and decided it would be nice on a gift bag too.  Isn't it lovely to have some 'old faithful' favourite layouts to resort to when you just do not know what to make?

Here we can see the two detachable tags from the side:

As always, thanks for looking, and Happy Weekend.

NOOR DESIGN UK APRIL CHALLENGE - Flowers

Hi everyone,

Today sees the start of a new Challenge at Noor Design Uk.   The theme is a really lovely one -  'Flowers'.  Well this is just up my street!  Full details can be found on the Challenge Blog here

You will see I have used a lot of items from Noor Design Uk  including items from the 'In the Garden' Crafteezee Collection.  I will list the links at the end.

I opted to use a slightly different layout for this card and will definitely be doing more this style.  I started with the lovely Lemoncraft 'Gossamer Blue' papers, adding die-cuts from the Butterfly border die, Marianne Design Creatables Classic border and the JOY circle dies.

The gorgeous Scrapinec frame frames the image from the Pion Songbird Secret images sheet nicely.  I added a pearl button to the top centre of the frame.

The beautiful flowers are from the Crafteezee Collection 'In the Garden' and I added Pomegranate apples. seam binding bows, double pearl trim and lace  from the shop.

A few close up views:

Here we see the gorgeous flowers close up.

And here we see the top left corner and the lovely pearl button.

Dutch Doobadoo structure paste has been added to the die-cuts and flowers with a sprinkling of glitter.

The bows are made using  Vintage Seam Binding and the pearl placed on centre of each bow was in the Collection.

It would be lovely if you could pop over and see the so very talented Design Team's inspiration which can be found here and even better if you would like to enter the Challenge.

As always, thanks for looking

FROM MY HEART with Pion and Riddersholm

Hi everyone

I am here to share a photo of a very simple card I made back in March.  I have quite a stack of photos to share so watch this space over the next few weeks.

This was fairly easy as the papers really said it all.  I teamed together papers from Pion and Riddersholm and added embellishments from Live and Love Crafts.

The shape has been taken from a Dutch Doobadoo template from Noor Designs Uk.

As always thanks for looking

PION - PRECIOUS DAUGHTER

Hi everyone,

I have something a little different to share today.  It is still a card, but you will be poleased to see it is a different layout to my recent ones.

I loved playing with a sheet of 12 inch paper from Pion (Live and Love Crafts).  I just loved the image on the paper and made that the main image.  Then I took the floral part of the paper and made it into a bookmark which is slotted into a pocket within the card.

The die is of course from Noor Designs Uk again and the embellishments came from  Live and Love Crafts.   I delved into my stash for anything else.

Thanks for looking,

VINTAGE AND PION

Morning all,

Two in one day!  If you would like to see my earlier card just scroll down.

I had such fun making this card and although it was quite some time ago when I made it I still remember the pleasure, and the moment I cut into those lovely Pion papers.  I love the image from Magic Moonlight too.

I don't make the traditional type of criss cross card very often, my cards usually just have a criss cross front in the design.  I raise the front onto foam pads to get the pocket effect, whereas the traditional criss cross uses two card blanks.

Thank you so much for looking.

Have a lovely day,

GDT AT CHEERY LYNN - DOUBLE ZIG ZAG CARD

Hi and Good Morning everyone,

I am here today sharing another card as Guest Designer for Cheery Lynn for the month of August.

I opted to make a Double Zigzag Card card following a lovely Tutorial which can be found
HERE    I love this shape and will definitely use it again.  Doesn't it show the gorgeous die-cuts and Pion papers off lovely!  The Sarah Kay image is centralised and framed on the inside using the Felicity Doily Die.  The card is edged with the fabulous Dancing Doiley Borders  and I am in love with these gorgeous 'Darling Daisies'  I opted to give the band a ribbon closure as the card is so bulky and embellished the front using the Daisy Strip to form the flower and Tropical leaves.  You can tell I had such fun making this.

The first photo shows the card fully closed:

The second photo shows the card open:

The third photo shows the card semi open/closed:
And finally a close up of the side panel:

Morning everyone,

I feel so very honoured to be sharing this card with you today as Guest Designer for the fabulous Challenge at Live and Love Crafts

This is a long post, so  grab a coffee so you don't go to sleep!! lol

The theme is lovely, it is simply 'Easter'.  Well, there are so many lovely products to be had in this brilliant shop.  It has to be my favourite shop of all times!  So, as  virtually everything I have used is from this shop you can imageine I had such fun making this card.  Everything is such a joy to work with, and it shows in the finished product I think. (Well that is what I feel, and you will agree I am sure, that is a lovely feeling).

I opted to make a shaped card with a criss cross inside  panel which houses a detachable bookmark.  I am sure this will have bene done before, although I have not seen it, but anyhow this is my verson.

Materials used:
Pion 'Poem of Spring' Papers
Pion Image Sheet - Fairytale of Spring
'Romantique' Lace
Shabby Seam Binding - Vanilla Cream
Lace - 'Petite'
Pearl String
Organza Roses Trim - cream
Berries Pins
Kort and Godt cream Chrysanthemums
Poppies - white, pink and turquoise

Pearls from my stash

There are several views.  Shaped cards I find so hard to photograph, and the photos never seem to do the card justice somehow.  But I have given it my best....
