Hi everyone,
I know it has been a little quiet on my Blog for a while. I have had a very busy August, which I knew would happen, and something which I do enjoy too.
I hope you have all enjoyed your Summer, and that it is not over yet! We need a really nice September to extend it I am sure!
In addition I would like to thank my blogging friends for their wonderful support throughout my recent lack of confidence to craft, and also lack of mojo. You know who you are, so thank you! I honestly nearly gave up crafting altogether at one point and it is my friends who have kept me going!
However, I have not had totally idle hands and have been tinkering away at this and that behind the scenes. I now have one or two Christmas cards in my saved photos folder so I will show you some of these over the next weeks.
So, onto a Christmas card I made recently. When my crafty friend Gina visited me recently (what a wonderful two days that was!) I was introduced to trying Gilding Wax. I had seen it done many times on the Blogs but never tried it. So, Gina, this card was inspired by you, and my first attempt at using Gilding Wax.
I did not use papers, but used white card which I embossed with my embossing folders.
I then applied silver Gilding Wax to some of the embossed pieces and die-cuts. So here we have a mixture of white and silver with the tree image which is a digi image as the central focal point.
I have added flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and also Noor Design UK together with items from my stash.
Thank you so much for stopping by. I do appreciate it, and look forward to receiving and reading your comments.
