Morning everyone,

Well I hope you are all enjoying your weekend.
Today I have another  Christmas card topper using this lovely image by Magnolia, Tilda with Snow heart.  Isn't she just lovely!  I have coloured her with copics and promarkers and added lashings of stickles.  The papers are the lovely Tim Holtz and the showflakes are Cuttlebug die-cuts which I have embossed with swiss dots.  The pearls, cheesecloth, poinsettias and charm were all from EBay.  I worked to a lovely Skektch for the Sketch Saturday Challenge and although I had the card topper made in time it had got dark on me so I could not photo it.  So I missed that one.

PINK CHRISTMAS

Hi everyone,

I cannot believe how the days are flying by and it is now under 6 weeks to Christmas.  I have been Christmas shopping today but still have my cards to make!  I am way behind this year which is so unlike me.  I am jujst not comfortable with it - It will not happen next year for sure! lol

So, here I have a Christmas card which I have made using non traditional colours.  Pink and White really are not my idea of Christmas colours at all and although I am pleased with the card I still prefer the traditional reds.  Having said that I do really like the icy blues too.

I delved into my stash for this one and have used a lovely Sarah Kay image (coloured by a friend of mine).  I used this image quite a lot last year and this one was left over all coloured up!  Nice one!  I think I have one more left to use too.  In fact it is very much a stash card, using Martha Stewart punches, poinsettias and charm from EBay, lots of Stickles, Nestabilities, doily, cheesecloth and ribbon.  The flourishes are Marianne Creatables die-cuts.

LOTV CHRISTMAS CANDLE

Hi everyone,

Here I have a Christmas card in Pink.  I don't usually go for Pink Christmas cards but fancied a change this time.  Although I am happy with the finished result I think I still prefer the traditional or icy blue colours.

There are quite a lot of layers here,  starting with backing paper from my stash, doily followed by a horizontal strip which is edged with Martha Stewart punched strips, lace  followed by ribbon and finally the stamped image which is a Lily of the Valley stamp called 'Christmas Candle (coloured by a very dear friend of mine).  This has been stamped onto a Nestabiality die-cut.

So, to embellish we have here a mixture of poinsettia and flowers,  Magnolia die-cut flourish, punched stars, Martha Stewart punched 'branch' leaves and pearls.  Oh and not forgetting the Stickles!  Wow that was all a mouthful! lol

GDT FOR ADVENT COUNTDOWN AT CREATIVE CRAFT WORLD

Morning everyone,

I am so excited today.  It is such a great honour to be invited to take part in the Advent Countdown over at Creative Craft World  .  The Design Team have been so busy creating lovely Christmassy makes and today is my turn to show you what I have made.

I decided to try something a little different so I have two different items here and it is my first time in making both of these.  It is quite a long posting so I will try and focus on the relevant and cut out the waffle! lol

1.  Altered CD Gift Box

I basically made this in the same way I would a card using the box as the base.

Recipe:
Box:  purchased locally some time ago
Papers:  Forever Friends 'A Christmas Tale'
Stamps:  Both are LOTV
Doiley:  Cheery Lynn die-cut
Flowers:  Prima and Wild Orchid Crafts
Lacy edging and leaves:  Martha Stewart punches
Stickles:  Red, Gold and Stardust
Glossy Accents

2.  Corner Bookmark

I have been wanting to make one of these for simply ages!  I found a tutorial on U-tube ( Tutorial found here )

Would you believe there are no papers on this one, apart from inside the frame!  It basically consists of card, Nellie Snellen circle die-cut, ribbon and Martha Stewart punched border for the base layers.

I then cut a Nestabilities circle frame, embossed it with Swiss Dots (Cuttlebug embossing folder) and mounted this onto the patterned paper circle.

This lovely Polar Bear image is by Imaginisce and I have coloured him with copics and added lots of glitz.  Isn't he just the cutest!  This stamp was a birthday present!  The ribbon came from my stash.

and the reverse side:

Thank you so much fro droppng by today and bearing with me in this post.  Do pop over and take a peek at what is going on over at Creative Craft World and have a lovely day.
