VINTAGE SHABBY CHIC and BIRTHSTONES

Morning everyone,

and a very happy Monday!

I have a very quick posting to share this morning with a card I made for the Challenge at Live and Love Crafts.  Well, I think this has to be one of my favourite shops, and I had such fun making this card.  Virtually everything is from Live and Love Crafts with the exception of the lovely Vintage image and the roses which were from Wild Orchid Craft.  Anything I have missed came from my stash.

So, the theme this month  is 'Birthstones', and according to the chart on Sandy's Challenge Blog my birthstone is 'Pearls'  Well, what a lovely theme this is to work to.  Yes my birthday is June and I have the big one coming up on Wednesday.  I am thinking of it as just a day older than the day before!  So, my theme was PEARLS!    You know how I love the Shabby Chic style, and pockets too, so this was what I chose to make, and I loved every minute of it!

I would like to enter this into the following Challenge:

Live and Love Crafts Challenge - Birthstones (pearl)

Thanks for looking everyone, and have a lovely crafty week ahead,

DT card for SWEET STAMPING CHALLENGE - Something Sweet

Happy  Saturday Morning everyone,

I am delighted to be back with another Challenge at  Sweet Stamping    There is another lovely theme to this Challenge entitled 'Something Sweet.  This immediate said ;'edible' to me.

I opted to make an easel card using my Cheery Lynn dies.  I cut the basis shape using a Go Kreate flower shaped die as it was just the right size to accommodate my  Cheery Lynn die-cuts.  I wonder if you can see the snowflakes peeping out around the edge of the card?  I wanted to try the white on white effect.    I have embossed the doily die-cuts and the flourishes with one of the Tim Holtz embossing folders but it does not show clearly on the photo.

There are two lovely sponsors:
Monthly: The Ribbon Girl
Weekly: Iva Nova chest

Die-cuts: Go Kreate and
Cheery Lynn: Doilies, Flourishes, butterflies, Snowflakes and a dinky doiley one too
Image: Robyn's Fetish digi coloured with Copics
Everything else from my stash

CREATIVE CORNERS

Hi everyone

Today I have a card to share which I made to the theme of 'Creative Corners'  I opted to make another Easel Card, and I must say I loved making this.   I am really enjoying playing with my dies, especially the Cheery Lynn dies which are so pretty. You may have noticed that for a while I have not been using many dies.  Well this was because I have had a problem shoulder.  Anyhow, this seems to be a whole load better, BUT because I have a rather special birthday coming up next week (a zero one) I have invested in an eBosser, and this has helped me enormously.  What a treat!  So, this is why the dies have come out again!  I wonder what you think to the homemade flowers with the Cheery Lynn dies?

Papers from Live and Love Crafts
Hobby House Topper bearing the image created by Sylvia Zet

Cheery Lynn Dies:  A mixture of doily dies, snowflake dies, Border die, flower and leaf dies, and of course corner dies.  Yes, all can be found here at Cheery Lynn
I would have liked to list them all for you but have run short of time today.

and a few close ups:
