FUSSY & FANCY FRIDAY CHALLENGE - Thankful

Hi everyone,

I am delighted to be back with a Design Team card to share which I made for the Challenge at  Fussy and Fancy

The  theme is entitled  'Thankful'. and we are sponsored by Fresh Brewed Designs

I really was quite stuck with this one. I toyed with doing this and that, but really wanted to do something without a sentiment on it.  In Uk we have Harvest Festivals and so I based my card around this which made me think of Autumn, produce, countryside etc.

I know, just humour me! Haha - hey look I was stuck! so this is what I came up with.

The pattern has been carried to the inside where there are two pockets.

These gorgeous papers and the image are from LOTV
Flowers, Rosette Ribbon, Frantage and shabby ribbon are also from Live and Love Crafts
Cheery Lynn Doiley dies
Items from stash

I do hope you have time to pop over and take a look at the very talented Design Team's work on the Fussy and Fancy  blog.  It is a fabulous Challenge, it would be great if you could join in.

As always, thanks for looking, and have a great day!

VINTAGE CHRISTMAS 2013 TAG CARD

Morning all,

I made this Tag shaped card for last Christmas for a very special friend of mine so my memory of the materials used is a little sketchy, but I think I have got it right.  If my memory serves me well (and that will be a first! haha) I believe the papers, Vintage Father Christmas image and roses all came from Live and Love Crafts.  The lace at the foot came from Ribbon Girl and everything else from stash.

Firstly I started with a hand cut card blank with fold, and then I made a template of the tag, placed that on the front of the card and cut around it, obviously omitting the side with the fold.  It was a lot easier than I thought it would be so I made a whole load of this shape last Winter, and have made quite a few more this year too.

Thank you so much for looking.

SHABBY VINTAGE

Morning all,

This was such a quick and easy card to make and another one I had clean forgotten about.
The card blank was from a pack purchased from Hobby House.  These are so useful and there are several different designs to choose from.  Brilliant for a quick card.

The die-cut is from Marianne Creatables (Anja) and everything else came from my stash.

Thank you so much for looking.

VINTAGE SHABBY

Morning all,
How about another week of Vintage Shabby?  I keep thinking I am up to date and then finding more photos of cards I have made to share.

Here |I have an easel card with a twist and that is just what it is called, a Twisted Easel Card.  I love making this shaped card, and once I worked out the twist on it, which was quite some time ago now, there was no stopping me.

HOBBY HOUSE TOPPER - Sylvia Zet

Morning all,
This has to be one of my favourite Christmas images!   T

Again I opted to use a pre-coloured Hobby House Topper.  The image was created by Sylvia Zet for Wee Stamps.

So -continuing my phase of Easel cards using the large Spellbinders Nestabilities and Go Kreate dies and other dies which I have recently dug out for use I had such fun making this and took quite a bit of time on it.

Unfortunately the photo does not pick up the glitter.  There is lots of sparkle which does not show.  It is such a shame, and to be honest I am quite disappointed because the photos really to not do justice to these cards at all.  Any idea what I can do?

HOBBY HOUSE TOPPER - Sylvia Zet

Morning all,
Here we have another card I made a few weeks ago.
Another image which I just love!   Again I opted to use a pre-coloured Hobby House Topper.  The image was created by Sylvia Zet for Wee Stamps.  I have this one in digi form too and as I said yesterday this is great for using colours of one's own choice and of course it means it can be re-sized.

So - I am having a phase of Easel cards as you have probably noticed.    I had a rummage through my dies, ( I was amazed to find some I had foregotten about!)  and have used quite an assortment.  I loved making this and took quite a bit of time on it.  Unfortunately the photo does not pick up the glitter.  There is lots of sparkle which does not show.

HOBBY HOUSE TOPPER - Sylvia Zet

Morning all,
Ahh, now we are getting more up to date.  This is a card I made a few weeks ago.

You will gather I am an avid lover of Sylvia Zet's designs.   I must get myself over to Wee Stamps soon to snap up some of the new designs.

So - I am having a phase of Easel cards using the large Spellbinders Nestabilities and Go Kreate dies.  I had a rummage through my dies, and have used quite an assortment.  I loved making this and took quite a bit of time on it.  Unfortunately the photo does not pick up the glitter.  There is lots of sparkle which does not show.

HOBBY HOUSE TOPPER - Sylvia Zet

Morning all,

Here we have a card which I made at the same time as the card which I made yesterday.   Again this was a card for personal use.

Isn't  this image so sweet!   I opted to use a pre-coloured Hobby House Topper.  The image was created by Sylvia Zet for Wee Stamps.  I have this one in digi form too.  This is great for using colours of one's own choice and of course it means it can be re-sized.

I just lovely Sylvia Zet's creations and really did the happy dance when her designs were brought out in Hobby House Topper form.  I see there are new images available now too so I will be hot footing over there soon for sure.

HOBBY HOUSE TOPPER - Sylvia Zet

Morning all,

I loved making this card for our friends' daughter's wedding.  What better image to use than this gorgeous Hobby House Topper.  This is a lovely image created by Sylvia Zet for Wee Stamps.  I have this in digi form too which is great as it means it can be coloured with shades of my choice and also re-sized if need be.  So very versatile.  But for this one I opted for the easier version of the pre-coloured Hobby House Topper.

Have you noticed?  No flowers?  This must be a first for me!

HOBBY HOUSE TOPPER - Elisabeth Bell

Morning all,

This has to be one of my favourite images created by Elisabeth Bell.  I have the rubber stamp (amonst many others which are all firm favourites).   I was so pleased to see this come out in Hobby House Topper form.

When I started making this card I had not a clue what I was going to do so I just let creativity run away with me and see what happened.  This is the result.  I must admit I am really pleased with it, and I am sure I will be making more cards this style.  Where the shape came from I do not know, it just sort of happened.

HOBBY HOUSE TOPPER - Mo Manning

Morning all,

Here I have a card to share which I made simply ages ago, probably at the early part of the year.  I had a change from my usual lovely square shape and went for a 7 x 5inch card.

I was using up my stash again.  The topper was created by Mo Manning.  This one is in the form o fa Hobby House Topper so pre coloured and the roses were from Wild Orchid Crafts.

HOBBY HOUSE TOPPER - Mo Manning

Morning all,

Well, I still have a few saved photos left to share and someof these are getting a little more up to date with ones I have made recently.  This card I think I made a couple of months ago.

I see I have several cards made using the lovely Hobby House Toppers.  They really are lovely and a quicker way than stamping and colouring so ideal for a quicker make.  This image was created by Mo manning, it is one of my favourites.

The RosetteRibbon and white Shabby ribbon are from Live and Love Crafts and everything else came from my stash pile.

CRISS CROSS - SYLVIA ZET

Morning all,

Today sees the last criss cross card from my folder of saved card plhotos which I made quite some time ago.  This time I have used a Hobby House Topper bearing this lovely image created by Sylvia Zet (Wee Stamps).  Gosh this takes me back, I made this card simply ages ago.  The insert has a stamped verse.

Items from stash
Flowrs from Wild Orchid Crafts

Well, I am gradually getting up to date but still have a few photos in my saved photos folder left to share so I will have a look through and see what I can share next.

CRISS CROSS

Morning all,

Here I have another criss cross card which I made quite some time ago using another image coloured by a friend of mine.  To be honest I am not sure what the image is but I just love how my friend has coloured it up.

The papers and embellishments were from stash.

Morning all,

Here I have another criss cross card which I made quite some time ago for a friend's Retirement.  I keep being reminded of things I made and had forgotten about, and also of stamps and papers I had forgotten about.
This lovely image is a Penny Black stamp. I really must look this out and use it again soon.

I am fairly sure the papers were from a Melissa Frances pack.

The flowers were from Live and LoveCrafts.

CRISS CROSS

Morning all,

Here I have another criss cross card which I made quite some time ago.  When my very clever friend coloured me this gorgeous Magnolia Tilda image (doesn't she colour so well!) I knew right away what I wanted to do with it.  I wish I could remember which papers I used.  I do know that most of the embellishments came from stash I purchased locally.

I had forgotten how lovely this Tilda image is you know.

CHRISTMAS CARDS ALL YEAR ROUND CHALLENGE - Embellish it

Hi everyone

Today sees the midway point for the  Challenge at CCAYR, which is entitled 'Embellish It'.

Last time I  used a Vintage image, which I absolutely loved so this time I opted to use one of my favourite Christmas images created by Sylvia Zet.  The image has been coloured by a friend of mine. This time I decided to use some of my die-cuts and loved the effect of the heart frame die from Cheery Lynn on the front of this Horizontal Multifold card. And of course I was in my element embellishing the card.   I hope you have as much fun making for this Challenge as I did.

ELISABETH BELL - Criss Cross

Morning all,

Here I have another criss cross card, but one I made quite some time ago.

As I said yesterday, when I say criss cross card, I do mine slightly different.  It is a cheat method really, the traditional method uses two card blanks, whereas mine are really just a criss cross front to the card and less pricey to make.

The image has been coloured and hand doodled by a very good friend of mine.  I am almost certain it is an image created by Elisabeth Bell and I have a feeling it was created for Sugar Nellie originally but may be wrong there.  The papers were from my stash and the embellishments purchased locally.

I had clean forgotten I had made this card!

Thank you so much for looking.

KRAFTYHANDS - Criss cross style

Morning all,

I thought I would share some of the criss cross style card photos I have made and saved.  Most of these are ones I made quite some time ago, apart from this card which is a more recent one.

When I say criss cross card, I do mine slightly different.  It is a cheat method really, the traditional method uses two card blanks, whereas mine are really just a criss cross front to the card and less pricey to make.

This card is a slightly diffrerent shape too.  It is not the normal square.  I started off with a sheet of A4 card, cut a rectangle card with fold at the left side.  I then trimmed around two inches from the right hand side of the front of the card and went from there.

The papers are from the lovely 'Femme fatale' 6 inch papers from Kraftyhands
and the lovely Floral Postcard Topper is from the 'Garden Floral Collection' also from Kraftyhands

I must confess I love working with these lovely papers.

Thank you so much for looking.

KRAFTYHANDS - Butterfly Botanicals

Morning all,

Today I am here with my final sample showcasing the lovely 'Butterfly Botanicals' 6 inch paperstack and postcard toppers which were launched by Kraftyhands at their Show when the new http://www.britishcraftnetwork.tv/went live.  Anyone who missed the Show can watch it on this link which a friend of mine sourced for me.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZoX9qw8IdvY

So, we have here another envelope card filled with tags (sorry but I just couldnot help myself!)  As you may remember I was first inspired with this idea quite some time ago when I saw the lovely creations that Rebecca had made on her Blog at Paper Primrose
Rebecca is such a talented lady.  I am sure she would love it if you were to  drop by and leave her some love.

As you will see |I have embossed the envelope and layered it with the lovely papers.  Don't they contrast well!  The pearls and ribbon were from stash and the flowers I bought from a lovely lady at a Craft Fair in the Summer.

Well, that concludes the samples I made for the launch.  I hope you enjoyed and were inspired.

So, what shall we do next?   Maybe I will share some of my Christmas makes from my folder of photos.  Any other ideas?

Thank you so much for looking.

KRAFTYHANDS - Butterfly Botanicals

Morning all,

Today I am continuing to showcase the lovely 'Butterfly Botanicals' 6 inch paperstack and postcard toppers which were launched by Kraftyhands at their Show when the new http://www.britishcraftnetwork.tv/went live.  Anyone who missed the Show can watch it on this link which a friend of mine sourced for me.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZoX9qw8IdvY

Here we have a card with a criss cross front.  The postcard topper has been mounted onto black card, backed with a further piece of white card and slotted into the pocket at the front.  I quite like the black lace edging the card, it contrasts quite well with the lovely colours in the papers and picks up the blackin the butterflies in the topper.

Again it is Wild Orchid Crafts roses and flowers all from Live and Love Crafts

Tomorrow will see the final one of my samples.

Thank you so much for looking.

Here we have an easel card made from one of my Heart dies.  I forget which one I actually used now.  Really it is a great shape for using up stash.  The butterflies were punched and glittered adding a pearl to each.  The edges are trimmed with lace and the rosette ribbon was from Live and Love Crafts.

I will be back again tomorrow with another one, I cannot believe it is Friday already.  Time seems to fly by so quickly.

KRAFTYHANDS - Butterfly Botanicals - mini make

Morning all,

Today I am continuing to showcase the lovely 'Butterfly Botanicals' 6 inch paperstack and postcard toppers which were launched by Kraftyhands at their Show when the new http://www.britishcraftnetwork.tv/went live.  Anyone who missed the Show can watch it on this link which a friend of mine sourced for me.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZoX9qw8IdvY

I made a little mini make for this card.  It is a mini Horizontal Multifold and I have used just papers here adding doilies to the mini envelope on the front of the card which I made from one sheet of 6 inch paper.  Roses from Wild Orchid Crafts and items from stash embellished it, including the two little tags which are popped inside.

I will be back again tomorrowwith another one.

KRAFTYHANDS - BUTTERFLY BOTANICALS

Morning all,

Well, I had a very proud moment last week, as did my teamies too at Kraftyhands
when the new http://www.britishcraftnetwork.tv/
went live.   We were so lucky to have some of our samples featured on the Show by Kraftyhands  promoting the launch of the lovely new collection entitled 'Butterfly Botanicals'
I was so lucky to be working with the 6 inch paper stack and the Postcard toppers and I loved every minute of it.  I must say though I had never ever expected to see my cards featured in such a lovely way, and I was so touched by the lovely comments from Mike and Ian.  As I say, it was so exciting and a very proud moment.

Anyone who missed the Show can watch it on this link which a friend of mine sourced for me.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZoX9qw8IdvY

So, I thought it relevant for me to share photos of some of the cards which I made and here is today's photo.  In addition to the lovely papers andpostcard topper I used two Cheery Lynn die-cuts and flowersand shabby ribbon from Live and Love Crafts.

I will be back on Wednesday with my second one.  Tomorrow it is Challenge day so I will have a card for that.

Thank you so much for looking.

VINTAGE CONCERTINA

Morning all,

Sunday already!  And here I have a Concertina Card.  Well, I could not let the Vintage week end with anything else but a shaped card could I.

I must say I had forgotten I had made this one.  The Flowers are made from a Cheery Lynn die and they layer up lovely.

I think I first saw this image on Rebecca's Blog at Paper Primrose.
If you have not seen Rebecca's Blog do pop over and send her a wave.

Well, that is another week gone.  I will be back next week with a few butterfly cards to share from the samples I made for the launch this week for kraftyhands.  I love butterflies so I was a very happy bunny making those.

Thank you so much for looking.

VINTAGE ANGELS

Morning all,

This is another card which I made what seems to be simply ages ago.  It was either last year or just after Christmas.  Does anyone else get into the mood for Christmas makes just after New Year?  I often do and this could have been the case here.

Again, I was playing with the lovely items from Live and Love Crafts.  I just love that shop, and Sandy (the owner) is one of the best sellers ever.

Ivonne  is hosting this Challenge, the  theme is entitled  'Lots of Pink'. and we are sponsored by Fresh Brewed Designs

'Pink' - What a lovely theme and just up my street again.   After much deliberation I made a card with a front pocket containing hand-made tags.  I just love making these tag and envelope cards, so this one is just slightly different in that it is a pocket card.
